@Sabored It's a part of his original performances as Pee-wee, he would tell jokes that were guaranteed not to get laughs because they were weird, but you were supposed to laugh at him for being a weird man-child who was disappointed he wasn't getting laughs. Complicated, but that's why he's a great performance artist.
