  • Is that stable version already?

  • I know it sounds creepy, but I thought "what if I met him in person," and the first thought that came to mind was to hug him.

  • Thank you Richard !!! Just received the latest FSF Bulletin in the mail..

    You are very appreciated !!!

  • Im only using GPL software now. More people should...

  • Oh yea? Viacom uses GPL v.0.0

  • Great work, thank you for GPL. You are truly a great man.

    Greetings from republic Serbska.

  • please someone translate this video...

  • I like RMS, but i guess he didn´t have one good hair day in the last 30 years.

  • I love how there are people out there that actually care about freedom of technology.

  • Does anyone know if Stallman and Gates have ever met each other?

  • Fuck Flash Player Adobe Microsucks y todo el puto software privativo.GPLv3 is defend our freedom.

  • Pero, ¿cuál es la alternativa, Gnash? Gnash is (still) crappy.

    P.S. I wish I knew Spanish.

  • i know. there i a lot of free software that still is crappy, but remember that GNU/Linux was like that just some years ago the problem is that there's no support for the free software plus many people donn't care plus many people don't know they could use their computers without WIMPdows.

  • Swfdec works well, I think. You can get Gnash to work well, but it would require some self hacking, as far as I know. I haven't done the hacking with Gnash, but I use Swfdec.

  • Tell me how, and I'll try it out.

  • The Gnash thing? Try your favourite search engine. I don't konw. When I tried Gnash I stumbled upon some site telling what you could try. I don't remeber what site it was, but as I said; search for it.

  • Actually, I meant the swfdec thing.

  • Stallman, how about looking to the Camera?

  • There's one thing I've never fully understood about the GPL. If a company secretly uses GPL licensed code, and claims they use a closed source, proprietary program, and refuses to allow anyone to do a code-audit on the grounds it's a trade secret; how, then, does the FSF propose to enforce the GPL? It looks a little too much like an honour-system to me.

  • There are programs that can analyze binary code and find similarities in called functions etc. They will prove nothing but perhaps they will give you ground to step to a trial. Search in Wikipedia, it lists some cases.

  • I've upgraded all my software to gpl3.

  • the poor guy hasn't slept again because of the free world dream. good luck to you and the people like you, RMS!

  • Great work Stallman. Power to the people, and not to a monopoly :)

  • Nice cup Mr Stallman; "Thank GNU" - I want one!

  • RMS is like Tron -- he fights for the users.

  • Very well said.

  • Upgrade to GPLv3. Defend the Software Freedom and gain a better way of thinking the world of Technology!

    Thank you, R.M.S.!

  • I'm glad to hear you find it useful. We (Linmagazie) have many Windows ans OS X readers, which some wouldn't bother downloading OGG support for their players...

    Uri

  • Doesn't seem like a FLOSS philosophy to me.

  • Thanks for everything R.M.S. !

  • thanks for sharing this. okay, youtube may be locked up evil flash streaming media, but I couldn't be bothered downloading the torrent.

  • Not if you use Gnash :)

However - gnash is still quite touchy and still needs work.

  • RMS and the rest of the FSF are true heroes.
