My tatt is about 4 inches long and 3 inches wide... the color was the worst! I fell asleep with the outlining
anyone who gets a back tattoo... ask the artist for a chair, or if you can lay on your belly. sitting up like that you can pull away instinctively from the needle. My artist offered me the chair first. It went well. I fell asleep during my tat.

I have 4 tattoos, 2 on each side of my chest (below each collarbone), one on the entire right side of my back, and another on the left side of my belly, just inside the hipbone. I was expecting that last one to hurt the least since it's such a common place for a tat but it HURT! But either way, get it wherever you want it cause it's gonna be there forever, don't let the pain influence your decision cause then you might regret it later on!!

My first tattoo was a pretty elaborate colored piece in that exact area that took a couple of hours. And it didn't hurt at all. Until I started bleeding so much that the ink bled out, and he had to go over it again while it was still raw. The second time the same day was awfulllllll. But normally, it doesn't really hurt at all.

Tattoos at 14 and 16? Not a good idea! Be sure to get small ones so they can be covered up later! And, yes, it hurts. They're injecting ink under your skin with a needle. Your nerves overload after a while so it doesn't hurt as much as you might think, though. The pain also depends on how excited you are to be getting the tattoo and the location. Top of the foot, for example, has a lot of nerves.

I got my first tatt 2 weeks ago - lower left rib. Outline hurt, colouring was a breeze. Think it helped that we were watching sports bloopers on YouTube so I tried not to laugh so much which prob helped deter my attention from the pain. Mind you the pain was very minimal. Bearable. Almost like a tiny bug constantly biting at you. Design on the bone hurt a tad bit more but well worth it in the end. Already ready for the 2nd!!

The pain of getting tattoos ain't as bad as having to go through labor pains :C. I have 4 and each one varies. The outlines of the wings on my lower back hurts its about 6.5 inches down and an inch wide (each wing ), outlining it was the worst for me. Although the one on my hip didn't hurt too much, was that irritating.
i have tattoos and they all hurt but that will never stop me from getting them as big and where i want em. a few hours of pain and discomfort are well worth the lifetime of enjoyment!

or the ones that charge by the hour and take their time do it to make more money off you. i didn't get my tattoo at some shit tattoo place I went to one of the top studios in NYC.
I'd still rather pay more and have them take their time. Going slower doesn't make them more money. Going faster and getting more clients by the minute is making money.

secondly, I got it done in a place that is very very VERY easy to cover up... to the point that it's difficult to show off (because it's for me, not for everyone else)
thirdly, I know exactly why I got it done, and I stand by that it was a good decision.
finally, if you think it's dumb, don't get one. simple as.

I just love dragons. always have, always will. I got the angel 'cos I needed it, and it's nice to know it's there for me. symbolic y'see.

My first tattoo was a pretty elaborate colored piece in that exact area that took a couple of hours. And it didn't hurt at all. Until I started bleeding so much that the ink bled out, and he had to go over it again while it was still raw. The second time the same day was awfulllllll. But normally, it doesn't really hurt at all.

I agree 100%. When I got my 1st tattoo, I was so scared. Luckily, one of my closest friends was getting her 3rd & she gave me helpful advice. She said the same thing you did. I just concentrated on my breathing & concentrated on certain spots in the shop. I will be getting my second one soon & I am excited!

Tattoos at 14 and 16? Not a good idea! Be sure to get small ones so they can be covered up later! And, yes, it hurts. They're injecting ink under your skin with a needle. Your nerves overload after a while so it doesn't hurt as much as you might think, though. The pain also depends on how excited you are to be getting the tattoo and the location. Top of the foot, for example, has a lot of nerves.

I got my first tatt 2 weeks ago - lower left rib. Outline hurt, colouring was a breeze. Think it helped that we were watching sports bloopers on YouTube so I tried not to laugh so much which prob helped deter my attention from the pain. Mind you the pain was very minimal. Bearable. Almost like a tiny bug constantly biting at you. Design on the bone hurt a tad bit more but well worth it in the end. Already ready for the 2nd!!

The pain of getting tattoos ain't as bad as having to go through labor pains :C. I have 4 and each one varies. The outlines of the wings on my lower back hurts its about 6.5 inches down and an inch wide (each wing ), outlining it was the worst for me. Although the one on my hip didn't hurt too much, was that irritating.

it depends on ur pain tolerance really, take like two pain meds and lots of sugar. it kinda feels like a razor cutting ur skin off with a lil electric shock that numbs u xP so eh just depends. i got tattoos on both arms =]

My first tattoo was on my shoulder and back, it's about 7-8 inches long and took about three and a half hours straight through, toward the end it felt like scratching an itch with a razor blade, so good haha.
