@Xristosliberta It's better that the male is removed just before the babies are born or right after if they have been born while you are asleep. The females will be able to get pregnant right after giving birth and so the male will attempt to mate with her again after the birth, this is considered unethical as its alot of strain to the female hammy to have one litter right after the other. :(

@lissagirl161 Yeah, they're nice though they sometimes do bite. They're more for like, looking then being held cause they're really fast and really shy, etc then most other hamsters.. But you can always tame them.. It just takes time and some love and care :)

hi. i have a question. My sister and i just got 2 female hamsters from a store yesterday. this morning i checked on them and one hamster (Migit) looked super fat and much bigger than her sister. (they are dwarfs) but we are wondering that she may be pregnant. is there any other way to tell if she is pregnant?

@maizebear the only way you can REALLY tell is if your hamster looks REALLY round and fat (like she ate a ping pong ball) 2-3 days before she gives birth. So honestly, you wont know until the babies.. well.. pop out. :D

@mrtre2014 wait. what? Mix hamsters? You can not mix hamsters! If you have a pair of the same breed (like robo and robo or ww and ww) then its okay. But you cannot mix other hamsters with other breeds bc they will fight!

@RoboHamsterify i agree, when i got my russian dwarf hamster they told me not to mix breeds if i wanted two,one female,one male, i couldnt find a female RDH at any other pet store so i will have to wait.But i named mine hammy he is only about a 14 months old.

@EmilysPetChannel79 honestly, its really hard to find hamster homes. Im lucky that my friends wanted them. But now I have 6 baby winter whites that need homes in a few weeks. what am i going to do? i have no idea :T
