My little brother is 10 years old, autistic, and has never said a word. but he can remember the positions of almost everything in the house and can operate vcr's and tv's. I think the reason some autistic people have very special talents is because a regular mind's priorities are divided, while an autistic mind blocks out certain aspects of those of a regular mind. So maybe Stephen's verbal communication skills were limited, causing his recognition of landmarks and places to be superior
This guy is like the famous guys of old who drew all those amazing paintings, research should be zerod in on the likes of lernardo devinci in order to verify if they were equally autistic. Great minds come at a price
i am glad that you recognize "GOD/EVOLUTION" as the causae (efficientes/finalis). Also top down/bottom up is a good way to interpret his gift, but still it is a MIRACLE.
wow just 1 word wow he is the best drawer i have ever seen i love all his pictures he has a good talent even if he does have a proble he is a great artist wow man all i ahve to say wow
I just saw it - "Extraordinary People: The Human Camera" on UK's Channel Five. The term "inspiring" is frequently overused, but it's totally appropriate in this case. He truly deserves his MBE. An incredible and uniquely talented individual.
He should try to paint his dreams.

My autistic daughter and I visited his gallery this summer, and bought the New York Taxi print shown at 1:20. AMAZING detail!
