I am not a racist. I do not believe there is any thing biologically wrong with Pathans, but their culture and old traditions are at fault. the backward values and tradition in their culture have given safe haven to dangerous ideologies of Taliban and have become a security risk to our country. The region of NWFP needs to be educated and "re cultured", to eliminate racism, sexism, injustice, intolerance, drug abuse and so on.

If this practice continues, it becomes the part of their culture and values, which is very dangerous to the peace of society. This has not only given a bad name to Pakistanis but to Islam as well.

U r not a racist but u sure are ignorant of Pashtuns and their way of life. First, I agree that we are all Muslims and that racism, sexism, etc need to be eliminated. Having said that, the culture and the old traditions of the Pashtuns are hardly 'at fault' for the ideologies of Taliban.

I posted that commented 4 months, since then I have come to know a lot, yet very little to nothing. Old traditions and values may not may be the root cause of social aliments, but still the fact remains that they exist, which makes the Pushtoon community more vulnerable to exploitation. such as by these ANP politicians, Pak Taliban or whatever. This is maybe more true for Afghan Pushtoons, than Pakistani Pathans.
