  • I caught these fish all day long today in my kayak earlier. The littlest one I caught was that size, honestly. I do live in Houston Texas, maybe they get bigger here?

  • @dc5oo8

It's funny how they'll differ in size in different areas of the country. It would be awesome to try out the St. Croix River. Maybe someday someone will sponsor a trip. Thanks for watching and commenting.

  • @Fishnwithjoe i just found out that those giant white bass are a hybrid of striped bass and white bass that's why they're so big and they are called wipers.

  • @Fishnwithjoe its a white perch wtf is a white bass

  • i've caught bigger :P

  • my uncles dad caught a 6 pounder and it was super fat to lol u should've seen it's massive belly

  • @aznboyy55109 doubt it was a white bass. probably a hybrid or striper.

  • my uncle caought a 24 and 1/2 inch

  • call it a striper idiot

  • do they go after buzzbait too? because i use a buzzbait and i was catching quite alot of white bass but when i came back the other time, i couldn't get anymore white bass on a buzzbait anymore

  • they look more like stripers

  • i would be happy to catch a large mouth that big

  • what lure is that?

  • looks like a Striped Bass... is it? What we have here in Maine for Striped Bass are huge, of course they are Sea run Bass but I understand that in allot of states these fish are land locked and considerably smaller. Hard to imagine that what we catch (40 + lbs) and this fish are the same species ... but they look identical.

  • here in minnesota we get averege white bass sizes of 14+ inches getting one 12 and under compaired to the 14+ u will get one 12 incher out of every i say 10-15 14+inchers

  • Gulp Alive minnows works great for these suckers!

  • @slatetundra07 a man if u like white bass fishing try to go to the nuecses river in texas durring white bass season which is late winter to mid spring they go in the rivers to spawn and lay eggs a great lure to use if you ever go there is a small white grug with a red head they think its a small shad eating there eggs

  • try using he sabiki rig... i know it's cheap but i've caught 2-4 at a time each cast.

  • try usein a spinner bait, white bass love'em

  • wow thats a really big one there joe nice catch.

  • nice fish and all. . .but trophy might be a stretch.

  • easily one of my favorite fish to catch. aggression is unmatched.

  • Thats huge man. Thats huge. If you measured him you can still get a fiberglass reproduction. It's a lot easier to take care of.

    Thanks for watching the show.

    FishnwithJoe

  • thats a nice white bass but i have seen bigger bass than that

  • I come from germany, so i can´t fish white bass, but tha head looks just like the one of an asp...

  • my biggest white bass was 18 1/2 inches, I didn't have a scale so I didn't get to weigh him.

  • 18.5? thats pretty big..sure its wasnt one of those hybrids??

  • hybrids are huge but my buddy and I actually caught a true white bass that was 19 inches, and I was like "ooo thats a trophy right there man" and we got all excited, and the next morning I called him up again to go present it to the DNR but he's like "dude, I ate it already", I was like "WTF!" but there I heard the record was only 18inches, could of won some cash

  • What..ATE IT?? That would have been his last meal.

  • nice but my younger brother caught white bass size as walleye :)

  • you mean to tell me that joe jordan was a geek?!?!?! well i just cant believe it. Love your vids man.

  • a few years ago i go a fish ohio award for a catfish i caught. the amount for a catfish is 26 or 28 inches. i forget it was a while ago

  • sorry nick but i doubt it

  • that aint nothing....trophy? not even close....Thats only a fracture of the one's i be catching...My trophy are shaq size feet and bigger...but good job though...a white bass is a white bass...

  • In Hoover and Big Walnut Creek they dont get as big as Shaq feet. But its a good thing because Big Walnut is a small creek and that guy has some huge feet.

    Fishnwithjoe

  • hello..how r you??what is the name of a lure that u using???

  • Looks to me like it's a 2 1/2 or 3 inch rebel minnow...

  • It's a yozuri pinns minnow in the 1/16 ounce size. They work great for white bass in small streams during the runs.

    Thanks for watching the show.

    Fishnwithjoe

  • hello.how r you??what is the name of your lures??

  • that is not no trophy....but good eaten though hahahaha

  • jc0ol you probably caught a 12 lb. hybrid striper, it was not the same species as the white bass that joe caught in this video. Both of you had nice catches though!

  • In GA, a tropy can be up to 4 or 5 times the size of that one in the video. Sometimes it is hard to tell the difference between whites and hybrids down here because the whites get so big.

  • u call that a trophy i jus got back off lake erie and we limited on perch and i caught a 12 pounder

  • aren't white bass just striped bass

  • they have there simalarities but no

  • Me and my dad have caught bigger when we go to Lake Erie every year. They bite on anything up there.

  • Really because I went to Clevland Browns Stadium and I saw some guys catch some big bass.

  • hey i live in toledo and always do the whitebass spawn every year but i usually fish by orleans park what spot is that it looks really good thanks

  • This spot is in Galena, Ohio. The white bass run from Hoover Reservoir into Big Walnut Creek and spawn every year. Thanks for watching fenderedout18. I was standing right under the only bridge in the middle of town when I caught them. Maybe one day I'll see you on the water.

    Joe

  • hey i live in toledo ohio n always do the walleye n whitebass run but man thats a nice sized bass what spot were you fishing if u dont mind sharing

  • come over to Galena Missouri, and fish on the James river over the next 6 weeks. White bass will be running, BIG ONES. I'll be down there!

  • In Ohio outside of Lake Erie this is a trophy sized white bass. I've heard that in other parts of the country they are much bigger. This video was shot in Galena, Ohio. If the show budget would allow I'd go to Galena Missouri. Thanks for watching.

  • come to Oklahoma i'll show you some white Bass! real whoppers!

  • you can catch them that size and better in the maumee river every spring. ultra light and 2, 1/16 on my line catch doubles and everything

  • The Maumee is a blast for white bass and walleye. I can't wait to do a video there. Thanks for watching Ohiowhitetails.

  • teh

  • what lures do yo use i have never been and can you buy them at cabelas or basspro?

  • Try, Review (MUST be approved) and Recommend fishing products at eproductsreview . org

  • Thanks, in the state of Ohio a white bass 16 inches long is exceptional and especially if its caught in one of the inland lakes. On Lake Erie white bass become very large however, this one was caught at Hoover Reservior which makes it a trophy for that lake.

  • Hey Joe...Here in North Texas 16 inch sandies are common at least for me.Next spring ill show ya a few.I love fishing the Sandy run in the spring down here with my ultra light tackle lots of fun.

  • I've never been to Texas but, I've heard things are bigger there. I can't wait to see what you catch. Catching them on ultra light gear makes it that much better. Good luck and Thanks for watching.

  • yessir...i'm in Central Texas myself and 16 inch sandies are pretty common here (fishing Lake Belton) also during the run

  • fishing is awesome

if been fishing since i was 5 years old

  • WOW ! Now im really jealous !!

I think we Canadians call it a 'white perch' and yes is it a throphy size!

Never seem a big pig like this one!

    Nice job man !

  • Nice Fish!

  • Thanks for watching.
