  • Yes indeed he was talking the truth he translate good from the greek you see that?

This muslim man knows more about John 1.1 more then others christians who's pretending knowing and having knowledge about and crom the Bible

  • Mashallah what a answer man I love this guy

  • haha haha.. Ask any greek scholar what ton theos means? He wil kick your ass! Dude its ton theon its incorrect if you say ton theos gramatically! Learn basics dude

  • He was talking too damn fast.

  • asking the wrong person from a muslim man. go to the christian camp n (2)..ask the devil he cannot denied that Jesus is God..

  • jesus said the father is greater than I, jesus never said he was God,

jesus said at John 5 : 18,19 that he cannot do anything by his own initiative. he also said why do you call me

good? . jesus also reffered to his father Jehovah as his God 5 times in Rev 3:12, he was

no longer in the flesh when mentioned these words. jesus also said that he does

not know the day or the hour, well wait a minute is he God or not ,

there is no such thing as" in between". do you want more? 45 years exp

  • seems strange that John would use the same word for ONE GOD as he would A GOD." Also, what about in verses 6,13,13,18? Are we to translate the anarthous theos as "a god"? The speakers translation method isn't very consistent... It should be translated, not in an indefinite sense, but, a qualitative sense-- though, a definite translation suits the English reader. I guess the best translation would be "As God was, the Word was."

  • In John 20:28 "My Lord and my God." Then Jesus said, "Thomas, because thou hast aseen me, thou hast believed: bblessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed." The expression of "My God" as in Oh my God or OMG was not used in those ancient times. it is an expression we used today but not in biblical times. Thomas did not simply say, "My Lord... oh my God you are alive, thank you Jesus!" No he said right: "My Lord and my God!" The Lord of me and the God of me. Amen!

  • "First word is ho theos and the second word ist ton theon" - WRONG! En arche en ho logos kai ho logos en pros ton theon kai theos en ho logos- There is no article before the second God, wich means that the word was in substance and essence God, the second Person in the Trinity. This man, like Ahmad Deedat is a Showman and not an apologist. He dont know greek, he is misleading the persons in the audience.

  • clever words are of little consequence- forgiveness of sin and and entry into paaradise are what is important for every believer. Your sins can only be forgiven by shedding of blood.Your good works will never allow you entry into heaven. It is only a soul purified by the LORD JESUS CHRIST who will be able to have access to heaven.

  • Dr. Zakir missed the "In the beginning was the Word" part, which proves Jesus is an eternal person and uncreated. The Greek word for "was" in John 1:1 is "en" which means a timeless (eternal) existence in the past. He also forgot to mention that John 1:3 says Jesus is the creator of all things. Would John describe a "godly person" who was not Almighty God or was not eternal as the creator of everything? Of course not. John also calls Jesus "the only begotten God" (NASB) in John 1:18.

  • And from where did Zakir get this NEW interpretation that Jesus is saying that I was not crucified????? He infact asked them to see the nail marks in the palms and feet.

  • @aanandabraham AMEN JESUS CHRIST is LORD

  • Mr Zakir is misinterpreting BIG TIME. When Jeus asked disciple Thomas to touch and see him, he was trying to prove that he is not a ghost, but really alive. The term 'spirit' is used in that sense there. Nowhere does Jesus' statement imply that he is trying to say that I am only Flesh and hence not God. That's simply your fancy. Bible teaches 100% Divinity and 100% Humanity of Jesus Christ. Yes, its beyond human comprehension, so do not try to break your head trying to understand it. You won't.

  • As for the rest of Dr Naik’s comments re "the upper room", Jesus’ resurrection, Moses….it follows my first comment, how Dr N is completely and utterly wrong in his assumptions and statements. This is due to the clear fact that he has not bothered to read the original text that would have allowed him to gain a true and clear understanding of what is actually said.

  • Greber translated his own version of The New Testament, not having any qualifications in Greek or translation of ancient languages. as displayed alos by Dr N. @ 3:35 he states "the 1st God is Ho Theos, wrong again as Ho does not appear in Jn1:1.First God used is Ton Theon (THE GOD!) . Word emphasis in Greek is understood by word order (grammatical rule) @3:51 he suggests you ask a Greek Scholar. Good advice Doc!

  • Amazing how Dr Naik is completely and utterly wrong in his assumptions and statements as regards what the original Greek actually says. Also,@ 3:02 it makes complete complete sense as God WAS with God (no small "g" but upper case "G", or Theon was with Theos if you like). @ 3:53 the letter "a" as in "a god" does not appear in the Greek, , but it reads Theos (God). The letter "a" was inserted by the JW's in their translation given to them by a Spiritualist medium named Johannas Greber.

  • @dragonlee1bfed dragon..you are being deceptive..greber is not the only translater who inserts the 'a' in john 1;1 c. In fact, one of the oldest translations of john from koine into coptic inserts the 'a' in john. Why?..becasue they understood koine and it's nuances..and they understood that the second use of theos was qualitative and not identifying that the word was The God with whom he was with. And that translation dates to within a couple hundred years of the origninal.

  • @brofun, Thnx for the reply. You are in error and lack understanding. READ my comments again. I am not discussing "translations" as you seems to have picked up on, but I have stated what the Original Txt states, which you completely ignored. To call me "deceptive" shows just how weak your reply is, you don't have a clue as to Original Txt. The original Koine greek txt reads "Ἐν ἀρχῇ ἦν ὁ Λόγος, καὶ ὁ Λόγος ἦν πρὸς τὸν Θεόν, καὶ Θεὸς ἦν ὁ Λόγος." No "a God" but "GOD" . Blind fold off please.

  • @dragonlee1bfed The original text literal says the word was god'..that is true. However, if you don't understand the written language of koine, then it would be easy to become confused. the written language does not contain the indefnitite article..it is implied. if you spoke and wrote koine, then you would know and understand when and where it is implied. BUT, since we don't, we have to find out how to render it correctly. THAT is why the contemporary coptic translation of john 1;1...

  • @dragonlee1bfed the word was a god'. You see, since coptic was spoken and written at the same time that koine was, they would know exactly when and where the indefnite article is implied and would thus, insert the indefnite artlcle where called for. And since the word was WITH THE GOD..then the word could not BE the God with whom he was WITH. So, it becomes grammatically and logically correct to note the qualitative sense of the second use of theos..so, the word was a god..or like god..

  • Now that its "off". The Koine, Sahidic Coptic, Latin Vulgate ALL state clearly "God", and not "a god" as you wrongly stated. No need for "nuances" as you claim. Individuals like yourself unfortunately have been deceived then re-itterate deceptions, "Why?..." because you never bothered to check bro, thats why! Greber was not a translator, he was a MEDIUM..is "anyone there?" Earth to brofun... Earth to brofun..is anyone there?

  • @dragonlee1bfed You are wrong on the coptic. I don't know about the sahidic since I've not researched it. It is your assumption that I have not checked..and you are incorrect! greber is not the only one who translates john 1:1 with the indefinte article, or the qualitative sense. There are many others..but, you will choose to ignore those. And your saracsm does not bolster your point in this issue...it only makes you look weak. So, be strong and use knowledge..not scoffing and denegration

  • John 10:31-33~Again the Jews picked up stones to stone him, 32but Jesus said to them, “I have shown you many great miracles from the Father. For which of these do you stone me?”

33“We are not stoning you for any of these,” replied the Jews, “but for blasphemy, because you, a mere man, claim to be God.”

  • Anyway can anyone plese explain about Pr mohammad, who was he? how comw hes called a prophet, hes not mentioned in the Bible anywhere?

  • @shy52002 the verse which tells that Muhammed is coming, got removed from your bible.

Even if it's not there (because I know that you'll not believe me) the bible was before Muhammed's coming, so this is an obvious reason why it's no where in the bible.

  • Lol he is saying Jesus wasnt crucified, typical muslim, hes going straight to hell

  • the god that can be named is not the ETERNAL god... i think is the whole point this writer/artist critic? is making.

    who was this guy???

  • Also, the whole 'my god!' to Thomas being an exclamation of surprise is so ridiculous I can hardly reply. In the Greek it says 'And he said to Jesus...The Lord of me and The God of me'. Argument over.....

  • 'a god'? 'any Greek scholar?' Seriously? Did he just read The New World Translation? Terrible. Just terrible. And his example of exchanging God for The Word and see how it sounds. That is called changing the text to prove your point. There is a reason they worded it the way they did. LET THE TEXT SPEAK FOR ITSELF!!!!!!

  • Who is ALPHA and OMEGA, FIRST and Last?Isa 44:6 Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I [am] the first, and I [am] the last; and beside me [there is] no God. Rev 1:17 And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: Rev 1:18 I [am] he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death

In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, (THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.")

translation is JEHOVAH TSIDKENU = reference to the branch of david Christ Jesus

  • Jer 23:5 ¶ Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth.

  • Tts 2:13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

  • Who do the cults say Jesus is? Jehovah witnesses; the Archangel Michael Mormons; one god of many, brother of Lucifer Theosophy; an Incarnated world soul Bahai; one of 9 manifestations of Divinity Spiritists; an advanced Medium Unitarians; an extraordinary good man Who do Christians say Jesus is? God the son, second person of the Trinity. In conclusion we can confidently state in the scripture Jesus is God manifested in the flesh. See 1 Timothy 3:16.
  • THE WORD WAS GOD BEFORE IT BECAME FLESH (JOHN1:1)

Phl 2:6 Who, BEING in the form of GOD, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

Phl 2:7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

(NOTICE made himself of no reputation in GREEK means He DISROBED HIMSELF or in Plain language Undressed HIMSELF)

  • @celioabatti

Exactly,Jesus christ is the flesh and God is the spirit, they are one, separating them will not work, muslims are trying hard, jws are tring harder, lol jkeep trying,it wont work.Look in your heart and ask who is God,pray and find yourself!

  • @shy52002 The BIBLE says The Father is God, Jesus is God and the Holy Spirit is God, Thats all I need I believe it the ones that don't one day every knee will bow. God Bless

  • @celioabatti The bible does not say Jesus is God, nor does it say the holy spriit is God.

  • @brofun Oh yes it does! Better check again bro

  • @shy52002 They are diffirent persons When we say that they are all personal, we note that there are necessary elements that constitute personality (separate identities ) in each one. , It is the Son who died for all mankind; the Father and the Spirit did not, the Son became human flesh, and still is in the flesh, while the other two are not.

  • If JESUS was not GOD he would have REBUKED Thomas for BLASFEMY!!!As the Mosaic Law commanded them to do (Leviticus 24:15).

Jhn 20:28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.

  • Isa 43:10 Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.

Isa 43:11 I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.

  • Lol! this guy hasn't got a clue what he's talking about. God in John 1:1b is τὸν θεόν not τὸν θεὸς this relates to God being a definite object. If John 1:1c was translated "and the Word was a God" the Greek would have to say καὶ ὁ λόγος ἦν θεόν, but it does it says καὶ θεὸς ἦν ὁ λόγος. This means the Word is not the Father, who is the only true God, but he is in very God in nature. This is confirmed in Philippians 2:7 and Colossians 2:9.

  • John 1:1 /watch?v=izUcK6yUEQg

  • /watch?v=Bi2NKn9BplM

  • WRONG. You can NEVER get anymore ANTI CHRIST than Christianity, because you constantly contradict Jesus every day because of PAUL:

    John 5:41:

"I DO NOT accept praise from men."

You Christians cannot follow this, because you follow PAUL of tarsus who contradicted Jesus.

Islam believes Jesus was one of the NEAREST to God in honor, since he was one of the greatest prophet, and your Bible PROVES that Jesus was a prophet: Matthew 21:11, Mark 6:4, John 6:14.

  • NO-WHERE in Bible does Jesus UNAMBIGUOUSLY claim to be God, or where he explcitily said WORSHIP ME.

In fact, Jesus said: John 5:41:

"I DO NOT accept praise from men."

    Muslims follow this YOU DON'T.

    John 14:28:

"My Father is GREATER than I."

Muslims believe God is GREATER than Jesus, YOU DON'T. You will NEVER be able to give ANY logical and TRUTHFUL proof to disprove that Muhammed was a prophet of God, because you learn about Islam from ANTI sources, making you BIASED.

  • Bible says Jesus called people DOGS and PIGS:

    Mat 7:6:

"Do not give DOGS what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to PIGS."

    Mark 7:27:

"It is not right to take the children's bread and toss it to their DOGS."

The dog and pigs are the most FILTHIEST animals back then, which is what Jesus called people.

The Biblical Jesus is a racist, which Islam DISAGREES on.

Jesus encourages people to become eunuchs (SELF mutilation of penis) in Matthew 19:12.

  • Jewish scriptures (Talmud) call Jesus' mother a WHORE in Sanhedrin 106a, says Jesus was a Sorcerer in Sanhedrin 43a.

Jesus was boiled in hot excrement in Talmud in: Gittin 57a.

Jews also dont believe in Jesus. So, HOW DARE you call Islam antichrist, when Jewish's OWN holy scriptures curse Jesus and calls his mother a WHORE?

This proves how little you know about Islam and Jewish scriptures, and proves your biased for calling Islam antichrist when TALMUD curses Jesus

  • The greek says

"en arche en ho logos kai ho logos en pros ton theon kai theos en ho logos"

ton theon = the god or God

theos = god, a god or divine.

At first was the word and the word was from the god and divine was the word.

  • Unlawful translators have been LYING for years, since there's NO capital letters in Greek, yet in John 10:35 the word "gods" does NOT have the capital "G," yet in John 1:1 it does.

Jesus does NOT utter a word in John 1:1 according to red letter Bible.

  • @itcrowdfan92

U want some red lettering; please read

Rev 1:8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

  • @celioabatti what do you mean begining and the end. Jesus was born in a stable. According to Acts 2:22 Jesus was just a MAN approved of God Almighty like all the other prophets of God. Read Bible in context don't just throw verses out of context.

Isaiah 44:6 - Thus saith Jehovah, the King of Israel, and his Redeemer, Jehovah of hosts: I am the first, and I am the last; and besides me there is no God

Notice: "...Jehovah, the King of Israel, and his Redeemer, Jehovah of hosts..."

JESUS is ONE with the FATHER !!!

  • Allymetro, why is it when people like you lose the intellectual argument, you resort to profanities...is this the culmination of what you have learnt from your religion....
