so u know cabbage does not taste tangy sort of so pine straw is real acidy ,i use hay and garden lime to SWEETEN THE GROUND so the cabbage is sort of sweet, pine straw i use with blue berrys, grapes, blackberries, plum, alot of that likes acidy ground.
Hey guys I am trying to see what is your advice about tilling if the oil to our country is reduced for any reason. Other than manual-on small gardens? Thx Benjamin
A soi conditioner is anything that will improve the quality of the soil. Here in Ga we have lots of red clay. It packs very tightly because it is shaped just like a plate (and is the smallest soil particle). So, in order to make it easier for plant roots to dig thru the soil, we add things like tiny gravel, ground up pine bark mulch, sand, gypsum, egg shells, coffee grounds, etc.. It seperates the clay particles, so, It "conditions" the soil. Great question,Thank you!
I really like ornamental cabbage. I know one spot in Calgary along 7th Ave where the C-train runs there's a couple giant pots with ornamental cabbage. Excellent video!
