The Canada of the 19th century was much different then the one we know today.......and it was a Brit dominion then, so it would be unfair to critisize macdonald for being a pround "British" sujbect. In fact many Cdns then would have probably felt the same way.

Holy crap. This is mind blowing. I am a young history student but I do not know much about current events and politics. I knew that I could not trust politicians to tell me who was best and to give me ideas. I know my history though, and John A Macdonald, and the way you convincingly made Macdonald look a terrible Canadian really puts things into perspective.
