yeah he is great for cadvan, if there is a movie the actors who will play maerad and cadwan will have to be somewhat similar in age because you can't have an actual 16 year old with someone who looks about 30. people who haven't read the books would not get it
omg i just started reading the book a month ago and i finished it and now i want to get the second one, they should so make a movie out of it though...thanks for this one it is very good :D
What a wonderful video! I am just about to start reading The Singing. I too am wondering what the songs were that you used here. I love them! Great job...
Hey, I just finished The Singing in March, it's absolutely amazing! I quite enjoy Alison Croggon's writing, it's like nothing else, really, especially the poetry--it truely makes it a Book of the Bards!
The songs in the video are both by Enya: the first song is called "The First of Autumn", the second is "A Day without Rain".
so i like seriously want these books to be movies! as long as the ppl that do them are good (not like twilight or eragon) and personally i think aragorn is perfect but arwen not so much... she should be younger... btw I LOVE CADVAN & MAERAD... especially cadvan;)
Aragorn is exaxtly what cadvan looks like to me accept the beard at some times, and most the time arwen is just as i imagined maerad. im so glad they got together in the singing!!!!
i dont like matching pic's to books i read, being able to make each person how i image them is one of the things i love.
aragorn is not how i would image cadvan but, aragorn in the lord of the rings is still in love and cadvan has past that, has growen out of feelings like that, he has loved and lost. but having said that i think there might be something that is going to happen with maerad and cadvan, age does not seem to be something that bards care about when it comes to love
'Potential lovers lost forever'... I don't get it! Dernhil was in like two or three chapters of the first book and has been brought up time and time again in the first and second books... It's like his gonna spring up out of the ground and be like, "Maerad... I'm not dead. Kiss me!" Then she's gonna be like. "Noooo... By the Light! I can't let go of the Winterking! Me love him long time." That actually might happen... I don't know. I just finished the second book and am gonna get the next today!
ah im reading this book at the minute, however my version is called "The Gift" not the naming. nice video btw, neva really made the comparison between Cadvan and Aragon, but it's there definatly.

the image of Aragorn from the Lord of the Rings movie would make a very believable Cadvan, Arwen as Maerad not so much.
solosong13 4 years ago 4
Some places in this vid i can see Arwen as Maerad, other times it's just too... elven X)

sasukeismine39 4 years ago
nobody knows, bards live three times the life span of normal humans(they r not lovers:()
crazychicken332 4 years ago
in the book Maerad said he looked about 35, but since he's a bard hes probebly like 70 or 80 years old.
crystalclickchick 3 years ago
well no not reallly in the fisrt book she said she was 17 or 16 summers old so its been like 2 years so shes probly like 18
