  • Just thinking about the cost and difficulty of even trying to build something like this makes me feel like fainting. But, as you say, if money were not an issue...

I have a cliff-top lot where I am going to attempt to build a small nice house. When (if) I do it, I will send you pics. Sadly, money is a big issue for me.

  • That is badass

  • amazing... simply amazing

  • hey doug im 13 do you think drawing dream houses and stuff like that will help me being an architect on the future? responde please

  • I wonder how they found out the people who made these buliding around the 1000. Its scary.

  • wow

  • y haven't i thought of this. well, it's as good as mine.

we just had our 1st major plate in our design class last year about cliff house. this seems to be a nice idea. a big house though.

  • i think u should know an architect from my town..

  • What program did you use for the Colleen changing and can somebody tell me places where I can by architect software or hardware like a drawing pad connecting to my computer

  • nice

  • really cool

  • please do an underwater house :)

  • Hey! I drew a cliffside house as well, not a bad place, wanna see it?

  • dude i have all your vids on my website, the 7 part ones.

check them out! all credit goes to you "master"!

  • im not good at math either..but i am an architect...

  • @patrickarkitek u dont need to be good at math to be an architect?!?!?! coool i found my job

  • 5 stars!

  • Doug-Looks great. I have a question. How do you get your lines of perspective from the cliff photo? Thanks

  • I made them up.

  • drawing is important... I have always liked to draw, I would draw comic book characters, weird inventions etc.... But I definitely was never a great artist when it came to drawing. Architecture is very rewarding (emotionally, spiritually, but not monetarily) but also very time consuming. I would recommend to anyone thinking about it that they take a semester of it at a decent school. You will know after that whether or not you like it enough to put up with the long hours and workload.

  • this is great, i wanna be a architect when i grow up, and modern cliff houses are my favorite! (like in california)

but, math is my weakness =\

  • don't worry about math man. I just graduated with my master's in architecture and beyond some basic addition you'll be fine. It's actually sort of a joke amongst architects about how little math we use and how much everyone thinks we should.

  • wow. r u sure bout that? haha...

not architect sounds way less difficult than it did

  • I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM AS THE KID ABOVE

i think my math is way below weak .

  • This is somewhat ironic but my math is good but my drawing/designing sucks.

  • what about being able to draw ?

  • @tylerfu Thanks for posting your comment, I`m really relieved. I always believed that becoming an architect in the States was impossible because of the inhuman math requirements !!!
