the way I learned (could be wrong) is that taking two good specimen of two very different gene pools (like ppl from across the wold) would result in a superior being.

this would mean that all those inbred royal families are actually inferior ,because as the inbreeding goes on the same recessive 'bad' traits become more and more pronounced.
