  • fuck this is the best damn goose hunting clip on youtube, i have watched it more than i change underware!

  • i cant wait to shoot some geese next year

  • Where is this??

  • 8:38 nice shot

  • lol at 7:58-8-06 you can see geese walking in their decoys!

  • YOU TOTALLY RUINED THE VIDEO BY PUTTING IN THAT SHIT MUSIC..

  • @pumphouse00 no.... it's great and your just gay....

  • @simonsky8 dont you kinda have to suck and take cock in the ass to be gay?... hmm, so wouldnt you be the gay one!?

  • @pumphouse00 hAHA very funny i like how ignorant assholes like you come along and troll the shit out of videos with your caps on and stupid comments. quit being stupid and run along child.

  • @pumphouse00 i thought the music made that video way better

  • Great vid!!!! I love watching those honkers cup up and come into the dekes like that!!!!

  • If there is one think i love about duck/goose hunting videos, its seeing the dogs go and get them and how much fun they have doing it.

  • @mrmillsap

I love it too. You can truly see that hunting is in their blood.

  • I'm using #4 bird shot but I'm just wondering if it is legal to use buckshot for geese?

  • @spudchucker9000

No it is not. T shot is the largest legal size you can use. I usually shoot 2s or 1s for geese.

  • It's 3:30 December 30th 2011. 36 degrees out and I'm goose hunting off my back porch and there are about 1000 geese on the lake across the road from my hunting land... I'm feeling lucky. Great vid btw

  • what calls and decoys and what shells? please respond and great video awesome quality

  • @simonsky8

For calls, a couple guys were blowin TG, Zink Money maker and Zink Paralyzer. Prob a couple others as I didnt know a couple of the guys that were on this hunt. For decoys we used about 7 dozen GHG shells, fullbodies and FFDs mixed around our blinds in a "U" shape.

  • @nickjohnson04 thanks and what type of shot shells do you use like what brand and size? and keep hunting!

  • @simonsky8

I like to shoot Winchester Supremes and also Kent, both brands in 3" 1shot or 2 shot for geese. For duck I'll step down to 3s or 4s.

  • dam thiose geese were probably shitting there selves scense less

  • nice shhoting anyone using a nova

  • @mrgooseslayer13

Yeah my buddy Jake was using a super nova

  • Nice camera work. I was looking to film some hunts, i was wondering what camera that you used in the video? thanks

  • @brycedoherty1

I used a Sony FX-7. They are a great camera for the price.

  • my dog is named tank

  • love the dog work, and that was a really nice hunt

  • very nice hunt

  • Out of all the videos i have watched on line this is easily the best one nice job hope to see more in the future.

  • Were any of yall using semi automatic?

  • @duckettrodz

4 of us were including myself. I was shooting my Benelli M2. 3 of the guys were shooting pumps.

  • what shells were you guys using?

  • @tyrelpanter

If by shells you mean decoys, we were using the avery progrades. If by shells you meant gun loads, I personally used Kent 3" 2 shot, the rest of the clan I cannot remember.

  • thanks for showing the dogwork. There are tons of vids of guys killing waterfowl, but rarely do they show much footage of the dogs at work.

  • down in missouri we had a real good teal hunt

  • Way to represent iowa! I hunt down in Wapello county. We had a pretty good opener this year

  • Awesome video guys. Good shootin! Got some good looking dogs there too. I'm not sure there is anything better than big canadas locking into the decoys

  • hey i just got a new black lab and i was wonderin how you trained yours cuz its a great dog

  • @badassmuder25

I wish I could help man. Those 2 dogs were from 2 different guys on this hunt. I know both spent a lot of time with them but no clue how the training went down.

  • @badassmuder25 go to ultimate retriever com Mike lardy is the fucking man. You can purchase his 4 disc set its pricey but if you want to do the work yourself this is the way to go. He is very thorough with his techniques and this is important because its gonna be training you to train your dog. Hope this helps and good luck!

  • I don't know how many times I have watched this in the last week. Come on Oct. 15th!

  • @WTFHunting IDK how many in the last year! But A LOT! Oct. 15th u say, u in Ohio?

  • @sg255010

    Same here! lol

    Nah Oregon man! Can't wait!

  • @WTFHunting funny How ur in oregon I'm in OH but same opener. IDU that one. whatever lets kill shit already LOL!

  • @sg255010

    Hell yeah!

  • good shit man good hunt and it looks like you have a damn good dog. that's awesome keep it up

  • As we say in Canada....f*ckin A. Good work guys. Love the video. More please.

  • As we say in Canada....

  • Great video guys!

  • how many did you get that day

  • love this video!!!!!

  • What kind of chokes do you use?

  • what kind of blinds do u use

  • @ghunter42

I was filming from an old X-Lander. The other guys are using a mixture of Finishers, FA's and im not sure what else.

  • man i wish i could go on a hunt like that i live in minnesota and am a big duck hunter but i dont know anyone that owns any sutible hunting fields

  • by far the best hunting video i've seen on youtube. good work boys

  • wat soft ware did u use to make the vid?

  • @gthedeeslayer

    Adobe CS4 Production Premium

  • nice video.

  • Awesome video!! Great shooting. Can not wait until goose season opens up. I love layn that honker ass on the ground

  • I was salivating in serious envy while watching your video gentlemen. That was great! I'm curious how heavy is a honker?

  • @c40ish

Haha thank you! I cant wait for the season to come around again this fall. A typical honker weighs 8-11 pounds. I think the biggest goose I have seen was prob 12 or so.

  • what do u sayw when u blow n the call

  • @megkenna32

I honestly dont think I say anything into the call. Its just a variation of tones and air you control with your tongue that gives all the different sounds. Everyone blows a goose call different tho so some people might say something into the call when they use it.

  • is this in the jamestown area also? are all your hunts in Nodak?

  • @WissotaRacing

No this was in southern Iowa. Only two of my youtube hunts are in Nodak. The diver duck one and the mallard and pintail hunt. Otherwise everything else is in Iowa.

  • awesome job guys

  • hello, why are there in america do not use semiautomatic shotguns?

    Why use pump action shotguns?

  • @calaberacoki

Sometimes it makes it a little more of a challenge to shoot a pump.

  • @nickjohnson04 How about you stop taking 20 yard shots or is that a bit too challenging for you?

  • hello, why america is in no utilizais semiautomatic shotguns?

    Why use pump action shotguns?

  • @calaberacoki

Pump action offers a little more of a challenge. Or some guys cannot afford a semi-auto

  • @calaberacoki Pumps are alot more relieable.I have a extrema,I just like my 870

  • exelent aim .when these bullets fall dont they passibly kill a human ,and wouldnt it be less pain if its shot in the head and dead on arrivel or catcht alive and done painless slouhter with a very very smooth knife like i did it kosher not kosher style, noting like it by a believing jew and knowlegbel in jewish shechite laws

  • wat song is this?

  • nice vid guys, hey just wondering what kinda blind or set up do you guys film out of and do you use a tripod for your cam???

  • @ScottbillyWCO

Hey Scott. I use my old Final Approach X-lander with flappy doors to film from. I dont like using a tripod when field hunting so this enables me to get my elbows out of the blind while still laying down and really increases my range of motion with the camera. I use a cut piece of camo burlap to cover the cam. I do use a fluid head tripod occasionally when hunting in taller cover such as cattails but I find that Im better and can track birds more efficiently without one.

  • Dang, If you watch carefully he smacks two @8:25.. Awesome Shooting boys and love the Dog work.

  • Awsome video fellas!!!

  • hey what kind of camcorder did you use to film this video?

  • @josh2010hofland

Sony HD and a Canon XHA1

  • The best goose hunting video i have seen. Very well done, Nice job guys!

  • awsome video very smart dog good dog

  • awsome video wish i could see more very smart dog good dog

  • First off, Excellent Video! But one question what kind of shot gun shells where you guys using?

  • @purefishingownz

Not sure what everyone was using. Ranged from 2 shot to BB in both 3 inch and 3 1/2 inch between everyone. I had Kent 3 inch 1 shot in for this one if I recall.

  • @nickjohnson04 thanks, you guys where folding them.

  • GREAT video, fellas. I love the shots of the distant approaches. For a guy new to goose hunting (like myself), seeing how you work the birds from far out is priceless. I'm doing my self-arranged first field hunt tomorrow and you guys gave out some great ideas for setup and calling technique in this video. Thanks a lot for posting this.

  • Hey I'm looking into buying a new goose/duck gun. What do you guys suggest I should get? Money isn't really a problem. I'm willing to save up for something really nice. Thanks.

  • @dog429

I would look into getting either a Banelli M2 or Super Black Eagle or a Browning Maxus. All are superb guns and shoot well. Winchester SX3's hold their own too. Shoulder them at the store and see which one fits you best. Hope this helps

  • awesome!

  • hey so during the late season, more goose would be settling on land rather than water right?

  • @holow

They usually roost on water or ocassionally ice and then head to the fields to feed once or twice daily depending on weather conditions.

  • Enjoyed the heck out of it. Great editing, as well as camera work. The dogs work it, I wish my dog was that reliable, she stops 20 feet from me and chomps on the wings. Keep em coming.

  • 3:07 What is the name of the song......and awesome video guys! we just got snow on the growned here in ontario...

  • @33HONDA

Bleed American by Jimmy eat world

  • @nickjohnson04

    Sick thanks bud!

  • The dogs tail is wagging outside the back of the mut hut at 6:50 lol. NICE HUNTING

  • Awesome video! Hope to see more soon!

  • do you got any decoys for sale?

  • @bassmassterchamp3

Yeah we,ve got quite a few if you are interested. My roommate and a buddy of mine have a decent amount of progrades and lessers for sale. Email me at nickjohnson04@gmail.com and we can talk details. Thanks

  • how many decoys u guys use?

  • @huntinfreak92

We used about 7 dozen on this hunt if I remember right. Only because so many birds were fedding in the field and so many guys were hunting. Usually get away with less in Iowa.

  • Great video. Are you going to add anymore from the 2010 season?

  • @coreyz4

I hope so, we have some fun trips planned this year and should get good footage if the birds and weather cooperate!

  • nice video nick!! cant wait until i get to join you guys!!

  • Great hunt and good quality, I like it! They probably just left Minnesota getting shot at and thought they had it good now! haha

  • great video guys

  • you are a talented filmaker.Thank you for the experience

  • What kind of camera are you using? These are by far the best videos of hunting I have seen on YouTube. Keep em comin.

  • @bjmeinders

Thanks for the comment! I used a Sony FX-7 to film this hunt. Great middle of the line camera.

  • Comment removed

  • nice and rely a good shooting

  • hey, what do you guys say is a good 3 inch goose load? im going on a goose hunt and need ammo that is good but wont break the bank.

  • @SuperCharged187

I like to use Kents. They pattern pretty well through my gun and arent terribly expensive. My gun doesnt shoot 3 1/2 inch also so I would go with 2 shot or 1 shot. I really like the 1s tho. Good middle ground shot size. BB can work just as well too.

  • @SuperCharged187 ok thanks, i was trying to pattern my gun and was considering buying kent. i bought winchester xpert in number 2 and at 30 yards i got spots i can fit my hands in.

  • @SuperCharged187 i reccomond federal loads!!

  • how did you train your lab to fallow your hand directions of downed birds

  • @thierracing

Im really not sure on that. I know Eric and Jake, owners of the two dogs utilized multiple dummies thrown and marked by the dog when they trained them. Google it and im sure you will find good info on the training part. Good luck!

  • best goose hunt ive seen on youtube im goin on tho 13 in 2 weeks and season comes in in 3 days over here in ohio im so fired up great vids guys

  • The quality of this video is insane. Free on you tube? It belongs on I-max. Great job, can't wait for more! 2 days 'till early goose in Michigan!

  • good deal cause all of yalls videos are great. i was also wondering if you duck hunted the south east part of the u.s. any?

  • @cdg51191

I have not had the opportunity to hunt down there yet. The farthest south I have duck hunted is Arkansas.

  • i love your waterfowl videos you guys do a great job filming. when will yall have more duck hunting vids put up?

  • @cdg51191

Thanks a ton! I appreciate hearing that. I plan to have some good footage after this next season for waterfowl. I am still a college student so time is the limiting factor to get out and film good hunts. I have a cool turkey hunt and a bowfishing for carp video coming soon. You would love those if you liked this one. Ill keep the vids coming as long as I can.
