For all the people who say that Cream did not make this song. Youll full of crap. wikipedia Sunshine of your love
Development of the song began when Bruce and Clapton attended a Jimi Hendrix show at the Saville Theatre in London. After the concert, Bruce returned home and wrote the riff that runs throughout the song. Most of the lyrics to "Sunshine of Your Love" were written during an all-night creative session between Jack Bruce and Pete Brown.
@robby1000aday close! but clapton and bruce were up all night songwriting but nothing came. jack picked up a stand up bass and started fooling around and said ' what about this?' played the riff. and said ' its getting near dawn' (they were up all nite) then got pete brown to right the rest of the lyrics
ok thanks forsharing that little nugget of knowledge, im so glad i know that now...because everyone who has watched this video was so confused by my trivial mistake of saying its a cream cover
Don't worry, it was my pleasure, although the comment was not directed specifically at you. It was simply a statement I made to clear up any confusion that was apparently not there.
On the plus side, it was a good cover! Definitely better than most!
@blooplefacethewise dude it was originally by cream lol derek and the dominoes came later...eric clapton obviously had rights to the tune so that is y they played it
@blooplefacethewise no, it wasnt you fool...Sunshine of Your Love was recorded in 1967 for the Cream album Disraeli Gears...if you're going to come on and contradict someone's post, then try establishing your facts!
@BakerBruceClapton You are the fifth person to tell me this in the past year. I have already stated that I was wrong. You don't need to be an ass about it. Shall I simply delete that comment to prevent any further confusion?
yeah i wish we were still together, i loved being in a band...and things have changed since we stopped playing together, but myself, the drummer and bassist, may start a 3 piece for the summer..some originals and some covers, like alkaline trio or blink 182
yeah im the singer, and only one guitar was out of tune, its the guitarist who played the solo, he just got a new fender deville and played it way too loud, and was completely out of tune
ok that makes sense cuz that was how u lost the vibe cause the outta tune in anyway messes up the song cuz thats how i check my guitar, i play this song...But the guys with les pauls are good. btw gibson or epiphone?
both are epiphones, mine is the more orange one, its an Epiphone Les Paul Ultra, and the other is Les Paul Standard, but he put a 500T in for the bridge pickup, it sounds so awesome
Pretty good interpretation. But that guitar is killing the drama dudes. -_- . But No sweating though, it happens, It has happened to me and my band on occasion. It is quite fustrating when it happens. Peace out and Rock on.
one of the lead guitarists was out of tune and way too loud, so that over powered the good sound of the bass and other lead guitarist, but thank you for the compliments
Hey, you guys do alot of the covers our band does. Another nice one. Good job but did you consider using a second vocalist on it? We tried it with one singer and think it sounds better when we do it with a second singer alternating. Check out our version if you have a chance.

@robby1000aday yeah i think that is the real story, and the great producer and engineer Tom Dowd came up with the idea for the drum rhythm

Actually Cream released this as a single in '68. Derek And The Dominoes didn't form until '70.
This is, and always will be, a Cream song. The classic riff that is present all the way through the song was written by Jack Bruce.
Great cover by the way guys.

Actually, Sunshine of Your Love was performed by Derek and the Dominoes, not Cream.
