X5 is more of a urban driving suv, it excels in that range. Off roading is more like mild, maybe moderate. It's pretty good off road actually, just not like that... I don't think alot of suvs would make through that... sinking in the mud.

I have a 4.4 and its the best car ever...but as much as i LOVE the x5, its not for off roading...go with a differnt car...or take the x5 on snow or ice where you will lead the way...

well yes, i dont like the idea that people are killing to get this car literally. In Estonia last summer one man was selling his x5 and making test drive for two man, road lead them to off-road and where the owner of this car was killed.

Bmw is sure that makes great cars, but I think that is not her competence to make real 4x4 like Toyota, suzuki, Mitsubishi...i am talking about rough, heavy duty 4x4s, not about the cayenne....

Anyway my compliments to have taken this 4x4i off road!!!
