Stop arguing about who is better; Ray or Bear. They both have experts in survival of the particular place they are in behind the camera. They also receive help when they need it. They also receive proper nutrition, whether they show it or not.

I'm pretty sure that they both have the same knowledge and understanding of surviving in different places, but they both apply them in a different way.

Great video! FIgure trap: good idea with mushroom-finding the right ones that squirrels are eating would be part of the trick. I find the figure sticks work better (lighter trigger) with smaller pieces than what was shown.

a squirrel is fairly strong and can wriggle out of that trap. The trout being caught, who the hell carries fishing hooks on a plane or whatever? The only other hook you could make is out of bone. Better catch that squirrel to make a good hook! lol

@Sociocidal Because it's much, much more realistic on Survivorman. This guy probably has ashitload of traps his crew helps him set out, and they may as well be there for days before something is caught. Not downplaying Ray, he obviously knows what he's doing. But he needs a catch to make the show, and it's unrealistic for him to legitimately catch it all himself. Just don't want anyone to have the idea that this stuff is as easy and as quick as it looks, hell no it's not.
