I saw LP in Madrid at the free gig for the EMAs. They played a soundcheck in the afternoon for which they had a big audience, and they just kept playing almost to the length of an entire show, telling us basically that they were loving it so much they didn't want to stop. I wasn't a big fan until that day, but this song was one of the most amazing things I've ever heard live. It hit me in the face repeatedly for many minutes, and afterwards I converted to devoted. They've evolved, not sold out.

If this didn't have all the cursing it has, it would be the best song ever. Sadly, it does have the cursing. I really wish LP could've used a different word than "motherfucker". It just sounds so weird to hear LP say something like that. And the censored versions are just stupid because beeping or muting the word just makes it sound even worse.

They are also noting that they're not in it for the money now, and that they want the haters to "catch up" to their new style. Evident in the lyric, "try to catch up motherfucker." (This is my opinion, but there seems to be a general consensus.) :)

I agree, though, it can take a lot of time to adapt to a new sound. But I disagree when their old tunes are revered as some deceased king while "true fans" boycot the band's present due to their clinging to the band's past.
