What Demonbane fans don't understand is that Elder God is actually REALLY slow relative to size. His fights last billions of years because his top speed is light or something of that sort. However, the writers somewhat fast-foreward it in their story to portray the fight as if it's happening in moments so we can enjoy it. If we were to watch it in real time, the fights would drag on so long that one punch would last over a lifetime. I like Demonbane, but I'd prefer TTGL because it's WAY faster

@PhongChangster Two words: Infinite Energy. Spiral energy can be renewed, but it is not literally infinite. The Ideon gun can support said energy (Those small explosions you see when it fires are actually star systems.) Plus, if you actually saw "Be Invoked", you'd know that they can actually rapid-fire it. Finally, I don't think I need to mention what happens when you unleash infinite energy in a closed environment (Which it did).

@ThanatosRW TTGL introduced me to mecha anime, and when I look back on it, it really isn't that great when compared to the likes of Mazinger, Getter or GaoGaiGar. I haven't tried Gekiganger yet, but I'm gonna assume that I really should?

@Mickothebest Lol gekiganger is a fictional Giant robo anime within the Anime of Martian Successor Nadesico. Gekigangar pretty much was an amalgam of Getter Robo and several other contemporary combining giant robo shows. Nadesico is a very good anime and is often rated as one of the best giant robo ever. If you liked Mazinkaise, I'd recommend the original MAzinger, Great Mazinger and Shin Mazinger. Here's hoping they bring Shin Mazinger over to the states.

@norfolk316 Yeah, about Gekiganger, I kinda found that out a week after posting that comment. I was like "Dammit!" I have heard of Nadesico and I'll definitely try that out. I've seen some of Shin Mazinger, Kaiser SKL, and I think I'll try out the original trilogy (Z, Great, Grendizer).

I like this song, but Hironobu Kageyama's overwrought vocal style gets on my nerves. I also think that Majikaiser is just TOO DAMNED MUCH. Mecha series these days are just too over the top for me, which "Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann" parodies very well, IMO.

Personally that's why I like it. Not only Testuya is a MUCH better pilot, but also Great saves Kaizer at least twice during the series. Also there's the matter of dealing with an army of Mechanical Monsters while Kouji was getting his behind kicked by the Hell King ...

Well you have to take into account that Testuya was piloting the original Great Mazinger (I'm guessing Shin Great Mazinger was also being upgraded in orbit), while Koji was piloting the upgraded Kaizer. So even with an inferior mech, Tetusya pulled off an impressive victory. Also remember he took care of a bunch of Battle Beasts before the Generals arrived.
