LIKE I'VE already said! The first 20min of this movie was THE BEST TERMINATOR ACTION EVER.....the rest of the movie is actually the worst usage of movie funds ever. Worse than Batman and Robin, worse than GiLi, worse than Howard the Duck.
Terminator salvation's first 20 min = Epic greatness. Rest of it = worst pile of COckadoodle I've ever ever ever ever ever ever seen!

This is the main flaw of this film everyone picks up on the Terminators (All modles featured) don't act 'terminatorish' instead of just iliminating targets they 'Toy' with them.
T600 looks nastier and better than the T800, I can believe that people fear this Terminator. And fear is a great allie!
Salvation was great, but I missed one BIG element: You don't see people suffer psychological because of this war. And almost no people get killed by the T600....
John's Primary weapon is A HK-416 with a Red dot, fore grip, and maybe a laser sight (not seen in this seen, but when he first gets out of the helicopter at the beginning and when he is fighting in the river) Right?
@nathan00198 yes. and his side arm is HK mark 23 mod. 0 SOCOM. He also uses an M4A1 Carbine with a MASS under shot gun accessory in the final act, with the same red dot on the 416 also.
m 16s dont do much against a terminator sky net is smart to make the terminators all bad ass and not just one shot to kill then that pistel did nothing to that t 600 just extra weight if i was that terminator id just slam my fist so hard in his face that he would be dead
as a huge Terminator fan I enjoyed this movie just to see all those machines. and its not bad in visuals, but all the flair about the coldness and effectiviness of the machines is just gone... they act too cartoonish and stupid...
i know he just crashed down , and the place blew up and all. but how did he not hear that thing, coming from behind him. great intro, one of my fav parts of the movie.
The T-600 is so badass, I really liked the way they turned out for this film. Although, I would've loved to have seen more of them in the film in closer detail.
.....It's a T-700,not advanced enough to know where the heart is,if it were a T-800,it would see through and see the heart and know it was the heart and hit his fist through that area.T-700's are only incomplete T-800's,if the T-700 had any less wires It would not work.

because in the last 2 films they where T-800, T-1000 and T-X models which are more advance than the T-600 not mention that one was cut in half so um yea. there's your answer

@MACKINBLAK2896 Exactly. T-800 series on the other hand have full knowledge of human anatomy as well as basic human psychology, traits and other nifty knowledge and know-how. T-600 are just cannon fodder, but T-800 are intelligent hunters. T-1000 is vulnerable to temperatures and T-X is just uh...... not very effective in full-fledged combat and it's cost of production is too high for mass production.

@DukeNukenum Mainly because it was designes for infiltration, not full-fledged combat. Also, the production cost is too high so it wouldn't be efficient for Skynet. It would run out of resources and eventually the humans could find an easy way to kill them. I mean, their mettallic alloy absorbs most blunt trauma, while the metallic exoskeleton can enforce it from any heavy pressure. What does this leave us with? A machine that endures almost anything. But stick a bomb INSIDE it, and boom.
hehe no it really is a T-600 one of the earlier models which was used as fieldsoldiers.the rubberskin version is used for patrol and Infiltration(like the one in L.A.).^^
Why do the terminators always throw people? It seems to me that once one of them actually got a hold of you it would just clamp down and break your bones and never let you go.
@clogger3030 The amount of effort a Terminator puts into killing someone immediately, is inversely proportional to how important their character is. Some random guy? Rip his heart of his rib cage, or pick him up by the neck and snap his neck. A vitally important character? Spend 30 minutes throwing him into walls.

The T-600 is rubbish compared to the T-800, it gets destroys by a minigun the face. The T-800 withstands molten steel, but this confuses me as Arnie dies in the 2nd film by going in molten steel.
He has no legs and yet he throws Connor arund insead of just killing him ... and in the end fight the T-800 does it again, he een lifts Connor u by his throat for several secos but "forgets" to actually crush that troat.
James Cameron as Director or nothing. Terminator 3 and salvation have ruined the terminator franchise, just like the last 2 alien vs predator movies killed the predator franhchises. The problem is they putting cheesedick directors to direct these movies and bad writers to write up a quick story just to make a quick buck and ride on the coatail of all the previous good movies.

Same applies to this shot... why didn't the T-600 rams his metal fist from behind through John's ribcage? Why did he only tab John's on the shoulder and then toss him around? Why not going for the immediate kill?
@HopeOfTheFuture2029 maybe because its a 600, its not an 800, its not as advanced, its fair to assume the differences between the t800 and the t 600 to be more than just appearance, but then it wouldn't explain why the t800 later on does some stupid shit, they are machines though, maybe there are limits to the programming, acquiring a target and shooting it is less complex than reacting to every situation hand to hand....or maybe they were lazy film makers ; )

It wouldn't have the momentum to ram its fist through his ribcage from behind- it had to grab John by one shoulder to pull him towards it, but failed when John spun around, so just chucked him instead. The terminator didn't kill Reece in his cell, because it wasn't known at that time to Skynet that he was John's dad, thus not an important target.

The serious responce: I'm with you it would have just fine and exceptable if the T 600 just grabbed his leg and threw him, as opposed to grabbing him on the shoulder and throwing him. Another example of how this movie doesn't make any sence (but still enjoyable in my opinion.) is when they intercept the hit list and it says Kyle is #1. @Crisshomes1 FIRST of all Marcus didn't rip it in half he twisted the head of T-800 , second of all it was the T-800 who ripped the T-600 in half , third of all John revived Marcus with those electrics things causing Marcus to power up fast as hell.

What are you talking about, they made if perfectly clear that the Terminators being built in the factory were T-800s, not T-700s, I don't think T-700s even exist because the only Terminators in Salvation that were mentioned and seen were:
It just occured to me: why were there no t-700's in this movie? They went from the 600 to 800 model. I know the 700's do exist in the novels, but it seems kind of dumb to just completely skip a series of Terminator.

I think the writers made the robots a little less stuff so they wouldn't be so difficult to beat and modern current time weapons could stand up against skynet technology, i figure they will probably make a 5th movie and in the 5th movie they'd definitely introduce the t800s to the battle field and hopefully they will make the battles with them badass
What I dont get about this movie is why terminators keep tossing John Connor around instead of just grabbing him and cracking his neck. Both the t600 and t800 toss him like 8 times. Its just ridiculous. Not to mention that he keeps standing up after flying for several feet crushing on metal surfaces. I did like the movie though, but they could have made it a bit more realistic.
Yes, i agree, very very very very disappointed with this movie, there should'ev been more of those battles you see flash forward glympses of in the previous films, they should have had more technology in they're weaponry like plasma rifles and stuff. I think that some movies are just sooo good that when another comes out to follow it the expectations are so high they just cant be fulfilled ye know, there should have been more traveling to and a more devastated landscape
This movie takes place in 2018, so the plasma rifles haven't been developed/discovered by humans/Skynet yet. In the Flash forwards from the first two films take place in 2027-2029.
If there ever is going to be a T5 then i hope they have plasma weapons and more T-800 endoskeletons killing humans. And Of course a new Director!

Been a long time fan of the first 2 films. Yeah, T4 is kind of like a sequel and a prequel. It takes place after Judgement day, yet Kyle reese is still Young, and the T-800 has not been sent back through time yet.
I just Wished James Cameron came back to direct, or at least have some other credible director to do this film. I'm not sure why they picked McG to direct this LOL! I think Steven Spielberg would've done a decent job (He did a good job in Saving Private Ryan)

The T-600 is rubbish compared to the T-800, it gets destroys by a minigun the face. The T-800 withstands molten steel, but this confuses me as Arnie dies in the 2nd film by going in molten steel.

@HopeOfTheFuture2029 maybe because its a 600, its not an 800, its not as advanced, its fair to assume the differences between the t800 and the t 600 to be more than just appearance, but then it wouldn't explain why the t800 later on does some stupid shit, they are machines though, maybe there are limits to the programming, acquiring a target and shooting it is less complex than reacting to every situation hand to hand....or maybe they were lazy film makers ; )

It wouldn't have the momentum to ram its fist through his ribcage from behind- it had to grab John by one shoulder to pull him towards it, but failed when John spun around, so just chucked him instead. The terminator didn't kill Reece in his cell, because it wasn't known at that time to Skynet that he was John's dad, thus not an important target.

What are you talking about, they made if perfectly clear that the Terminators being built in the factory were T-800s, not T-700s, I don't think T-700s even exist because the only Terminators in Salvation that were mentioned and seen were:

I think the writers made the robots a little less stuff so they wouldn't be so difficult to beat and modern current time weapons could stand up against skynet technology, i figure they will probably make a 5th movie and in the 5th movie they'd definitely introduce the t800s to the battle field and hopefully they will make the battles with them badass

What I dont get about this movie is why terminators keep tossing John Connor around instead of just grabbing him and cracking his neck. Both the t600 and t800 toss him like 8 times. Its just ridiculous. Not to mention that he keeps standing up after flying for several feet crushing on metal surfaces. I did like the movie though, but they could have made it a bit more realistic.

Yes, i agree, very very very very disappointed with this movie, there should'ev been more of those battles you see flash forward glympses of in the previous films, they should have had more technology in they're weaponry like plasma rifles and stuff. I think that some movies are just sooo good that when another comes out to follow it the expectations are so high they just cant be fulfilled ye know, there should have been more traveling to and a more devastated landscape

This movie takes place in 2018, so the plasma rifles haven't been developed/discovered by humans/Skynet yet. In the Flash forwards from the first two films take place in 2027-2029.
If there ever is going to be a T5 then i hope they have plasma weapons and more T-800 endoskeletons killing humans. And Of course a new Director!

Been a long time fan of the first 2 films. Yeah, T4 is kind of like a sequel and a prequel. It takes place after Judgement day, yet Kyle reese is still Young, and the T-800 has not been sent back through time yet.
I just Wished James Cameron came back to direct, or at least have some other credible director to do this film. I'm not sure why they picked McG to direct this LOL! I think Steven Spielberg would've done a decent job (He did a good job in Saving Private Ryan)
