He is far from drunk its just Brian Cowen, he sounds clearer then the Interviewer. People should get off his back and let him try and sort out this country because I have'nt heard anyone putting any plans forward to straighten it out. Fianna Fail fucked up the country let them sort it out.

It's not a simple as you think, what is going on is a push to get him out, a crude one, but it's happening. Cowen is well known as a heavy drinker, depending on who you talk to he may have a drink problem. If he didn't have the brains to cancel the interview knowing he sounded like shit and would give off a bad impression, why would you want him deciding on the future running of the country? He doesn't give a shit about how he comes across. He's becoming like Boris Yeltsin.

@burlearth Why would he give a fuck knowing he wont be in much of a career come election time? I know i wouldnt give a fuck when talking to the media right now, the task at hand is difficult enough. My attitude in the no hope situ hes in would be fuck this lot of condesending shithead journalists my arse- im just gonna do the fucking job and get the fuck out- maybe take a holiday.

No party is strong enough. No opposition leader is good enough. They're all a joke. Politicians are only as good as the media can make them.
Your attitude isn't to "Fuck the lot of us too". I've kids. What the fuck hope is there for them when they're older if no one gives a toss. I can't afford to leave Ireland!

is this what all the shit was about , the man was just up early , and so what if he was drunk, i don't begrudge anybody a few drinks, and those of you giving out about the money that was spent that night saying it was our money that was being spent , look where the money was going , to a hotel in the west of Ireland staff wages and government taxes .this is a non issue
