  • im 16 and i own a 81 Z28 bought it all on my own , dad said it would be best if i did, i cant work during school year only in summer and its gonna take me a LONG time at this rate to leave it nice, it runs and everything but i wanted to be amazing, and i know its gonna be worth it

  • @ctorresse I hope you get your Z28 fixed just the way you want it. I've enjoyed mine for several years now! Set a goal, and work toward that goal, and you will feel a sense of accomplishment when you get there!

  • nive 0ne

  • gotta love the camaro! take a look at my 79 camaro

  • Hell yeah?!

    Chevrolet ALL THE WAY!

  • that's one nice Z28, my favorite car of all time!

  • @ADTR913 It was the car everyone wanted when I was in high school!

  • Your car is up at my channel...thanks again..hope you like it

  • I owned a 77, a 79 4 speed, and a 80 automatic Z28. The 77 was my favorite due to the short overhangs, but the 80 was a better (and faster) car. Many don't know that 1980 brought about suspension changes which dropped the z28 2" from the previous years. Also was the change to "cold air induction" which was good for about 15hp. The most telling was the torque rating.....these beasts were up around 280lb/ft at 2400rpm. They moved out rather smartly as I recall.

  • My favorite song with a hot muscle car.....great !

  • love the scoop.

    dad had a grey '80 z with the 4 spd. no T's.

    i want one.

  • Very sweet ride! love it!

  • just got an 81 z28 last week, LOVE IT. great video man 5/5

  • @drthunder481 Hope you have as much fun with your 81 as i have had with mine.

  • Nice original car. I had a 79 Z the one thing i didnt like about it was the ribbed steering wheel (same as yours) you could spend days cleaning it!

  • I want one of these sooo bad!

  • My dad had an 80 Z when me and my brother were growing up. Used to cruise in that car to no end. It was white with the blue Z28 stripes and all that. Unfortunately my dad sold it to one of his employees when it needed some restoration, and now its just sitting in the guys driveway rotting away and he wont sell it. One day me and my brother will get it back and restore it back to it's beautiful self..One day.

  • Good for you bro!

  • I hope you and your brother get the chance to get your father's Z28 and restore it.

  • Thanks... the guy is obsessed with camaros and also has a 79 RS sitting in his driveway rotting. I saw the old Z a few days ago and it needs over 5k put into it for the bodywork..the interior is pretty much fine except for a ripped seat...

  • Get That Camaro Man No Fagget Should Own It And Leave It Alone Like A Piece Of Trash

  • Gotta love the 4 speed! I have an 81 4 speed with the t-tops. So sweet in the summer with the roof out.

  • I like your video....very nice 81 Z28.

  • nice car but jw does the tranny make any buzzing sounds when your driving i have the same car and it does?

  • No sounds at all. I had the motor and transmission rebuilt not too long ago.

  • Beautiful car. I had one w/same exact colors back in 1980 (too bad it was an MPC model). I chose to go with Pontiac but still love the Z's. Love the car and the tunes.

  • correction: still have it boxed and it is a Revell, my 10th anniv trans am is MPC. My other trans am is real Pontiac though.

  • i had a 1980 camaro z28 350 bored 30 over wit a 350 turbo transmission but i sold it bcuz i blew oil pump :(

  • Comment removed

  • i have the exact same car but the tan color is blue on mine, and its not a stick shift :(

  • That is the nicest Z28 I have seen since 1980. It has got to be worth around $20,000.

  • how much horsepower? I want an 80 camaro SO BAD lol

  • The car is pretty much original. When I rebuilt the motor, I added a little hotter cam. I also added flowmaster exhaust. The original horsepower rating was 190, so I would guess a little over 200. It also has the stock 308 gear. Thanks for the comment!

  • Broken speedometer cable?

  • that car runs strong what size engine does it have in it?. that not a 305 is it?. it seems to quick for a 305.

  • It still has the number matching 350 with a mild cam.

  • okay nice what kind of power were those cars making in 1980?.

  • They were rated at 190 hp. I still think they ran good for the times.

  • mmm, love it, im oping to invest in either a 79-81 Trans Am or a 98-02 Trans Am, either way i gotta have a manual transmission, i long to run the gears, haha, the one thing my 91' Camaro is missing, the ole' 5-speed =/

Im wanting a 79-81 Trans Am, thats one of the most beautiful, amazing cars ever in my oppinion, my friend feels the same about 79-81 Camaros, so we're planning on getting them and modding them as a pair

  • Nice job on the video. Song is perfect too. I had one in '82. What was my Dad thinking? lol It was gold with t-tops and an automatic. Wrecked it in '84 in Lubbock. I was devastaed. Beautiful car.

  • No I wasnt being a smart ass I happened to have owned 5 camaro's one just like yours. These cars are my favorite.I search the internet for possible sales,I believe the integrity of these cars should be kept.I always wondered when a car for sale has original miles on it,if it's true or not. I meant you no disrespect.

  • I also search the internet for any additional information on these car's, because they are my favorite. I put close to 800 miles on my car because I had a hard time finding a new gear. I wanted to keep the integrety of my car intact although I could not prove the miles on the car were correct in the first place. Thanks for watching and I hope to put another video on youtube in the near future.

  • How do you know how fast your going with the speedometer disconneted? You cheat.Let me guess your selling it with the original miles.RIGHT?

  • Actually, you have a keen eye. I had just had the motor and transmission rebuilt and some how the speedometer was kinked and caused it to wear out the little plastic gear. It is now fixed! Now, if you were being a smart ass, I would just tell you to go to hell. I hope you were not.

  • i just bought one like it. identical colour and all

  • I hope you enjoy it as much as I do mine.

  • Beatiful car man!!

I have the exact same model and me and my dad are restoring it.

Do u mind giving me advice on where to find original visuals outside and interior?

  • nice z28 man....i got the same car fully restored....except i got a new LS1 in mine and all modern interior...with the bubblebee paint....but u have a beautiful original

  • You should put your car on YouTube. Thanks for the comment.

  • BEAUTIFUL!!! I've had mine for 10 years (since I was 15)! It's white with your color stripes and interior. Best car I've ever had! Hold on to it!

  • I've had mine for about 5 years now. This was the care I wanted when I was in high school many years ago. I really enjoy it and plan on keeping it for a while. Thanks for the post.

  • nice ride!!!!just like mine...well...almost mine is as perfect as yours :P

  • Thanks!

  • I love the 4 speed! It makes all the difference in the world. It seems to make it a little more of a muscle care with the 4 speed. I hope you get the 79 with the 4 speed.

  • It does have the 350! I hope you enjoy your Z28 as much as I do mine>

  • if this has a 350 its just like mine

    exact same options

  • pretty car.this is like a commercial for Z 28's

  • Thanks!!! I thought the song and the video went well together.

  • Nice car and video! The music and video went well together.

  • This is an awesome car! 5 Stars.
