I found out how to make this actually work. I think your issue came from trying to conceal your pressure plates redstone. when i tried to do this my redstone was accidently triggering my first piston and made it go off too early. then sent a double signal and thats why your pistons wouldnt retract.

@Whiteoutx86 I've tried doing that but the pistons really just dont work very well like that. I can't explain why but i can barly get 2 pistons to push up and anymore jsut gets realy complicated. Also jsut stacking pistons cannot push up more than 16 blocks so that would limit your elevator height.

@Whiteoutx86 Yes, but you'd need to reset it after every use. Once a sticky piston has been deactivated it doesn't stick, so you'd be limited to going up two blocks. Unless, of course, you don't mind breaking and replacing every single piston. ;D
