@ehhthissucks Just so you know dude, thats only guitar talking, people dont seem to think about Cliff. He was the main guy that kept that band thrashing. You'll notice And justice was the only album after Master that was thrashy and had those chugging riffs because Cliff had already wrote To Live is To Die! Cliff was the best member EVER in my opinion
@picklezupuraz Don't try to bring up an argument about that, metallica has meaningfull songs, as well as megadeth, and both of them wrote about random stuff that doesnt affect them as well.
@glenmatlock94 Well, he had an other band but he wasn't happy...Because wherever he goes, he always had questions about Metallica. He said, "Hey, I'm not in Metallica anymore, you know that right?". But that changed nothing. At last he totally left the music scene behind and had a new life after 1986....
@glenmatlock94 - "In 1986, McGovney was persuaded to return to performing by Hirax vocalist Katon W. De Pena, and the two formed the thrash metal band Phantasm with guitarist Rodney Nicholson and several other musicians, briefly including Dark Angel drummer Gene Hoglan. Phantasm released a demo but never recorded a proper album, and disbanded in 1988 due to disagreements between members."

Look, Mustaine wrote on four tracks from Kill 'Em All, and everyone knows that. But saying that Kirk stole his stuff doesn't make any sense. They didn't change their basslines after Cliff died or after Jason left. The songs were already written! And ost of The Call of Ktulu came from Cliff; most of ride the lightning came from James. And after 26 years with metallica, Kirk has more than earned his place.
nope cause at their 1st gig only 50 people showed up and you can look this up actually not alot of people liked them. critics weren't nice in their reviews. said stuff like The drums were amateur and need to be tuned. the singer needs to change his style. The bass could use more practice, and the lead could use some more practice. look at Metallica now. they even said that when kirk was with them so the made themselves famous. not mustain
If it wasnt for Mustaine Lars would be giving rich old ladies tennis lessons at come country club right now. Any any of you Metallica fans who think otherwise are just living in denial. You listen to the first three Metallica albums and they are purely Mustaine. His style, his aggressiveness, and in many cases, his songs. Did Metallica keep their shit together and perfect the craft better than Dave did? Yes. But Metallica is nothing more than Britney Spears metal now.
hmm kinda like how megadeth is right now too? living in denial or just contradicting yourself? Mustain wrote 2 sons off RTL and 2 (plus 2 other solos) of KEA. Everything thing els was cliff james kirk and lars. Mustain didnt make them they made themselves. Mustain would have gotten them all killed and they are right now doing better than megadeth is at the moment. your whole entire comment contradicts itself with how megadeth is doing now. its nothing more than an ignorant statement...
For someone whose Youtube ID is MetallicA4658, you know very little about their beginning w/ Mustaine. 1st, he wrote the riffs for 4 tracks on KEA: Four Horseman, Phantom Lord, Metal Militia, and Jump in The Fire. 2nd, Kirk used about 80% of Mustaine's on KEA. Lars told Kirk to copy Mustaine's ffrom the No Life Til Leather Demo. Check it out yourself. Finally, Mustaine wrote the riffs for Ride The Lightening and Call of Ktulu.
I know you can look all that up and they even say it cause they already had a playlist. He wrote the main riff on RTL and had most of Call of Kathulu but they added afew more parts to make it longer. Kirk didnt start writing the music till RTl but not alot cause James and Lars already had most of that covered. Kirk didnt really help write stuff till Master
Sorry, I ment to write that Kirk used 80% of Mustaine's solos from the No Life Til Leather Demo. Lars told Kirk to copy Mustaine's solos. Check it out for yourself.
@MetallicA4658 dude megadeth is still kinda good butt metallica sucks complete balls ever sense the black album theye sucked and every thing following while meadeth were still making good music
but that comes from the view of a megadeth fan. I like both bands and have been to both of their concerts. Both bands are in the same boat no matter who looks at it.
They played the same speed... Dave had set the speed go listen to the demo's with him in it. And Kirk has wrote some of their most famous songs like Enter Sandman and the solo to the Unforgiven. seems to me like he writes alot
@Synyst3rg4t3 Get stoned? No not stolen, just the same feel really. Ive written songs and later gone back and been like "wait... that sounds a lot like Seek and Destroy..." things like that just happen. they didnt steal it. besides with all the thrash metal songs out there its hard not to sound similar to some songs. hell even BLue oyster cult released a song and later had an interview about it cause it sounded a lot like welcome home. just happens :P
Dude, listen to stone or the jokes on you.. I think those are the bands.. They made songs before the black album. That sound pretty much like enter sandmans guitar riffs..
Lol. It's not really the same feel. It sounds pretty much the same...
I think that the only reason you say it's feel is because they're different genres... Not trying to sound like a douche or correcting you >_> =P
I think they're are other songs, but i don't know about the date on them lol
@Synyst3rg4t3 Get stoned its by Stoned. thats the song your talking about. and its not really that similar. sure different genres but the tempo and overall effect is different plus the cords used are a half step higher than that of get stoned.
and get stoned was published in 88 while sandman 91 so maybe it was just some influence from listening to their music. or maybe he just had the same riff idea and has never heard of the song. nonetheless it happens all the time.
The first three? Mustaine didn't write jack for Master of Puppets, though he claims he wrote the riff to leper Messiah. And that riff isn't even very "agressive". The one album that Mustaine wrote anything major for was their one of their least intricately-arranged. The bottom line is that Kirk and Dave are both great guitarists, neither is "Britney Spears Metal" and Metallica wouldn't exist without either of them.
@ehhthissucks I'm a hardcore Megadeth fan and I know everything of Mustaine. He only wrote 3 songs in Kill em All and 2 on Ride the lightning and one riff for Lepper Messiah. Do some research before you say shit.
@megaluisdeth Dude, you are really stupid. Dave laid down the groundwork for Metallica. He defined their sound. He was also an influence on Kerry King when Kerry King played in Megadeth. Mustaine has more talent than anyone in Metallica wishes that they had. His rhythm guitar has better, more well composed melodies than many of Metallicas leads. Dont give me that crap. Without Dave there never would have been a Metallica you loser.
@ehhthissucks He was there for a year, and James Rhythm is just as good as Mustaines. Metallica made it just find without Mustaine. It was Cliff that laid everything out.
@megaluisdeth You are truly delusional if you think that Hetfield is as a good of a guitar player as Mustaine. How do you argue something that stupid. Thats like saying that Japan is a state. Its just absurd.
@ehhthissucks Lars liked heavy metal before dave met him, him and james started metallica. Dave did teach james his style of playing now, i will agree with you, but their not his songs.
@ehhthissucks Mustaine was only on the first album (Kill Em All) so get your fucking facts right douchebag and Kirk is what made the bands solo's come alive in Master Of Puppets wich Mustaine was not in the band at the time
yea but that dosnt mean they wernt as good with dave it just means that they became famous and critics are always mean critics told ac/dc that they would never make it but look at them now same with metallica and megadeth
Hey, does anyone know if it's legal to upload videos with audio directly off of an official pressing of the album (not internet downloads)? 'Cause I tried uploading a sequel video and it told me WMG owned the audio, which makes me think the tracks were burned from internet downloads. So apparently, it's illegal to duplicate MP3s, but I want to know if the video would work if I used a track right off the album.
i dunno if youve sorted your problem but no you cant take tracks of albums and upload them
theres copyright codes embeded in the file of each song, and then when you upload them to youtube WMG see them and stop you from using it, bit of a piss take tbf but some songs arent copyrighted, you just gotta find which ones are and arent lol
ive done the same kind of a video as you (take a look, comment :D aha) and WMG stopped the audio on that but if you dispute the claim like i did, they will work=]
Sad, Mustaine was a bully to McGovney. James yelled has Mustaine's dog and kicked him. Then Mustaine physically attacked Hetfield and McGovney. Then he was fired.... Now he is Megadeth, fuck Megadeth. Then his last move, he poured beer over McGovney's guitar. Then Mcgovney played it then he got a huge shock that made him fly across the room.
