And in my opinion, Windows ME is actually pretty stable, I have more bad luck with Windows XP. :P

Windows ME has a different startup than other OSes in the 9x family.

The Io.Sys (DOS 8.0 Starter) directly loads VMM32.VXD (Windows Starter), bypassing Config.Sys, Msdos.sys, AUTOEXEC.BAT and WIN.COM. All the files are in the directory for compatibility.

I downloaded the iso and the download worked great, but I found the the Virtual pc was acting strange so I researched two exe files i found on the ME's task manger, systray.exe and scanregw.exe. They are TROJANS AND WORMS. MY ADVICE? DO NOT DOWNLOAD THE ISO "MEFULL"!!!! I don't know about VHD because I didn't download it.

@123FreeThought Those are common Windows processes. Systray handles updating info in the system tray and scanregw scans the registry at startup for problems (common DOS problems happen in registry).

@huymitsumi Thank you for replying! But If it`s not that how come this virtual pc, was acting strangely? The mouse would screw around the screen, it was extremely slow and and all this happened just about 5 mins after I finished installing the os? (with out any connections to my computer!) I have other os`s on virtual pc (like windows 98,NT 4.0 and I used to have 2000) and none of that ever happened to me.) I only assume that the iso is infected...

@SuperNintendoLPS You know viruses and other malware can disguise themselves in taskmanger...I'm not saying that particular systray.exe in the iso is a virus, because I don't exactly know, but damn what an unfriendly person! Just wanted to see if there is any thing wrong with the iso so people could protect their computers and you come on out calling me dumbass.

The VHD is 566mb. I would recommend getting the iso, it's smaller (430mb)
