@katajha831 Thank you for this comment. I think Holly's experiences in Vietnam coupled with lessons of feminist sensibility were the basis for this song. I read that in her autobiography.
Beautiful song. I was searching for this song because I heard it in a Dutch film "Een vrouw als Eva". I did not know the title but I found it with google. :-)
@artistjeanne Funny...I was just visiting your channel and listened to one upload. I wanted to thank you for sub but I could not seem to find the area on your home page to comment publically. I then came to my inbox and found your comment here. I can't wait to try and find that film. I hope/know you will enjoy Meg Christian's music here. Thank you for the sub.
Nov. 6, 2010...One more view to 1,000. When I see Meg Christian again I may ask for a bit of help understanding this song. Holly Near drew inspiration from a Vietnamese poem and Meg from a poem called - Elephant Poem by Judy Grahn.
My inspiration for video to add came from a 300 million year old rock formation very near my home.
@NeedingMusic The first one I did was The Road I Took To You. I then said, I need to do better and did this song with video. Have to say...I was proud of result. Thanks for comments today.
Aug. 8, 2011...2,000 visits. I hope this rock never wears away!

An old favorite, just as beautiful and meaningful as the day I first heard it and wept.

This song is my mantra for life. Many young men In Pakistan go around with this in their heads. Working hard for peace I use this song a LOT.
