I love the Muppets.

My favorite version of this song to date is still Jane Monheit's. Christian McBride is playing bass on it, and he really does it up wonderfully. Excellent tune.

I just read that Zoot was based on a real musician named Gato Barbieri. I checked out a picture and he really looks like the guy!

He's named after Zoot Sims the sax player and yeah pretty much looks like most 50's sax players. It'd be hard for him to be based on Lou Marini though as the Blues Brothers were formed a few years after the muppets and weren't famous til the late 80's haha. Though Henson WAS a smart guy, he might also have had psychic abilities. And yes i know far too much about BB's and muppets lol What can i say they're two of my favourite things hehe

The only guy who can get away with not including Bass on his records in my opinion is Prince.

Both "When doves cry" and "Kiss" have no bass in them but the heavy driven beat in both songs make up for it.
