Actors can delve into another character easily (because they are portraying someone else not themselves).. but sometimes they are shy to show their own self. Being under spotlight can intensify that feeling. And she's not stocky at all.. remember camera adds weight.. if you see her in person she's much more delicate looking.

She's skinny but very healthy and has natural curves. She's quite voluptuous for an Asian girl. She is rather short.. but it's okay because she's proportional. There isn't anything more worse than a tall person with disproportional limbs and torso size. So many people (tall or short) are ugly and awkward because of disproportion. Also, she isn't a chopstick anorexic like most other celebrities she may seem more "normal weight" to you. But "stocky" is definitely the wrong word.
