There are two kinds of phobias. Rational and Irrational. This women obviously has a phobia from something either from when she was young, or an irrational fear passed onto her by somebody else, or untrue hearsay, a family member bitten by a cat etc. These phobias are real to the person. Once they've got over the psychological factor and realised the fear is irrational, it should start to subside. Being scared of snakes is rational surely because there are snakes that can be fatal.

I have a phobia of blood when someone or myself is cut in certain areas of the body...i mean i do my best to fight it off, but i can only hold on looking at it for 2 minutes before my body totally shuts down and i wake up on the ground...i mean i have tried dealing with it...i watch horror movies with blood...action movies with blood....i look for images online for knife attacks to deal with it because i try to get rid of my phobia, but to no avail...

@renjixsan It's super brave of you to be taking those steps on your own, but the process is a lot more complicated than you think! You need to take it in small gradual steps. Like first you need to get comfortable with only thinking about it in your head. Then looking at still pictures of JUST blood, on its own. No violence! The stuff you expose yourself to is way too graphic and violent for you to handle, and associating blood with violence and pain is making it worse. Think of it as life.

I am just going to be completely honest, there is no reason for people to be afraid of such things. I had a whole side of my face bit by a dog as a kid, and I love dogs. I should be afraid of them, but I am not and my face looks absolutely fine. I also love cats to death. This lady is just ridiculous. Anyone who doesn't understand how a phobia like this can develop has never been attacked by a cat. They have claws and teeth that stab through flesh to the bone. They're quick and swing madly at anything they can reach on your body, hooking in to ensure maximum damage when you finally yank your limbs free. At least with a mad dog, if you can manage to break its jaw, you're pretty much safe. With a cat, you can still lose an eye and puncture a few organs! Despite that, I love cats!
