This is totally awesome. I wish hemp clothing was real popular. It is difficult to find a decent pair of jeans for instance, gonna check out your shop right now.
They (or some other company) should start to make Tac-Pants out of hemp. Levi Straus chose hemp for a reason to do his first jeans. The hemp fibre is seventimes more rigid than a comparable cotton fibre.
@cutlerylover I'd also say that the ability to rotate your clothing for awhile without a need to wash it, and waste the extra water that is normally needed for 'weekly washes' because things start to smell, would be a very high bonus. Water saved is always a great thing for everybody. And if Hemp clothing is easier to clean (requires less detergent / less potent detergent), then all the better for everyone!
They have to grow the stuff in China because the US guvmnt doesn't understand that there isn't any THC in hemp. The eastern US used to be covered by hemp plantations. And no, George Washington did not grow marijuana, he grew hemp.
Hemp is a large stalk version, marijuana is a flower heavy varient .. only the same insides, the drug plant would not make good fiber and the fiber plant is not for drugs...
Now I know what you mean. My english is not the best. In Germany we call this industrial hemp. Originally all sub-species (is this the right word) contained THC. Through breeding the THC content has been brought to nearly zero in modern times. At least thats what I know ;)
I guess Jefferson didnt like headache like most people. What was the quote like? "Some of my finest hours have been spent on my back veranda, smoking hemp and observing as far as my eye can see"-T.J.
@checked22 Where I live you could get yourself shot for growing hemp because it will turn all like species, within about four miles, male. Living in the middle of a cash crop area hemp is not looked upon fondly.
Hemp sure does make a nice fabric though. I can't afford anything made out of it but I know several people who don't own very many clothes that are NOT made of hemp fibres.

@checked22 You can smoke hemp all day long and getting nothing more than a headache. Hemp is male plants and male plants don't contain any THC.

larlar752000 1 year ago
@larlar752000 it feels sort of like cotton but softer and hemp shirts last 3 times as long as cotton shirts hope that helped
