  • i wouldnt attempt video blogging while driving at home, id be afraid of like... you know... destroying my house a little bit.

  • I ALWAYS Go out and by CD's I HATE the fact iTunes sells music because it's not legit and you don't get the full feel and art of the CD. I go to Newbury Comic's and buy my CD's. It's one of my favorite things to do. iTunes can suck it!

  • @DX4LIFFE newbury comics best store ever with the best prices...u from new england...i'm pretty sure they're only around here

  • imbecil malo k me demore bajando la caga y ery vo hablando estupideces , pateeeticooooooooo

  • fuck !! man!!

  • I almost always buy NIN albums at Rolling stone in Chicago (it's a little tradition of mine). Beautiful store, full of grimy Nostalga. Reckless records is good too.

  • why are you driving during this? ..

  • there USED to be a CD PLUS at the local mall. BUT the basterds left because of lack of buisness (certainly not my fault, i bought planty). now i have a computer and am forced into the world of mp3's. very very sad. on the upside im discovering alot of new music, but i would prefer to buy my cds. the nearest record store (that has good shit) is an hour n a half away n i have no car :( but i go to future shop and WALMART (its not that greasy) to buy albums that are more mainstram like NIN LOL

  • Funking Fool

  • new nin yes

  • SALMON SONG

  • Bull moose music is a chain in New England. I'v only been to the one in Portsmouth, NH, but it's pretty sweet. The exchange is big in Ohio, and maybe other states, i'm not sure.

  • this guy smells

  • Trent already remixed Vertigo by U2 :p

  • CD Plus (Cause they sell local music)

  • i collect cds from sight and sound

  • didnt he already remix vertigo

  • HMV and Tower Records, I never download music

  • no. most of the music I listen to is from the 90's and earlier, so my dad has any songs I would listen to

  • The ONLY place in my town to buy them is Wal-Mart. :|

  • my favorite record store is a small one store (i think) operation called Kiss The Sky. they sell CDs Vinyl, Record players, incense, Tshirts, all kinds of good shit i cant even remember it all

  • Fuck yeah! Wherehouse Music in Redondo Beach, the only one left in the country. They're the best.. I hate iTunes AND Mp3s.. I love albums, and especially records. No I'm not a hipster either.

  • Yeah i do, there's only one i've been to in the town next to mine it's just called DYNO Records

  • There are no places to buy music where I live so I have to use iTunes. Ugh.

  • well im not going to lie, i pirate quite alot, but when i do buy music, i go to hmv or itunes

  • hey to coconuts in north nj. i cant remember where exactly or if they changed their name but they're really good.

  • hmv for me

  • wasnt nine inch nails breaking up or something?

  • @chidorikakashi nope, trent just said he didnt want to tour as nin anymore

    NIN always x

  • I live in south new jersey and the only places i can find music is best buy and fye, both are very pathetic. but my home town in Pennsylvania had a store called Gallery of Sound and that's where i used to buy most of my cds, and on the occasional visit still do.

  • Local - KMART. T_______T!!!! (versailles KY)

But in Lexington KY (just a few miles away) I go to Joseph Beth's music area, pretty great. Also FYE at the mall. Their used to be a Disc Jockey but they died. D:

  • The UK'S Music Store is HMV. The King of horns

  • If your ever in Minneapolis go to Electric Fetus. Unfortunatly I live about 100 miles away. So the only place near me to purchase cd's would be target and thats about it unless I drive 40 miles to Best Buy or Barnes and Nobel. So I usually just order off of Amazon.

  • i love TUNES!!!

  • I dont simply because I cant find anything I like. Target usually doesnt have any Emperor in stock

  • lol you on the road again... and in the poor peoples bracket! well i sometimes go to target but mostly buy online

  • I go to whatever record stores I can find. I don't care, as long as I can get one. The real stores. Wal-Mart, Target, Borders, etc. are the only stores that are nearby, but when I'm out of the area I love finding record stores. Whatever I can find. I've still only found 3 Sabbath albums in record stores (, Black Sabbath, Paranoid, & Sabbath Bloody Sabbath) at various record stores!!!

  • I go to JB Hifi in Auckland NZ, dont know if they have it in the USA tho.

  • HMV and Future Shop

  • yes i do shop for records, yes bboth cds and vinle, its in ATL but its calld decature CD

  • I usually don't get physical albums but there are a few that I can't get online or that are rare and I wanna get in the physical. I go to Underground Sounds or Encore in Ann Arbor MI if I wanna get something.

  • Yep I do! Our small little local store Tune Town. One guy runs it haha but they've got all the good albums

  • i go to HMV for my CDs

  • I buy albums because if a album is good enough i will listen from start to finish and play it again for ex. NINE INCH NAILS I love their albums. My fav rocord store used to be a local music store called VInel Fever but went out of business so now i go to FYE.

  • i live in nyc so i go to rainbow's records on 9th and 1 av. go there its the best place in nyc to get everything u will ever want

  • I Get most of mine at HMV At the mall i live near :P

  • Fuck you dude. There are a lot of reasons to avoid shopping at Walmart, but being a store where "poor people" shop is not one of them. Being from the working/poverty class, I personally found that comment you made incredibly offensive. If you would like to keep the viewers that you have offended, you should apologize and provide an explanation.

  • INTERNET :D

  • There's a place near me called slackers, but they don't have an extensive collection, mostly just the stuff that walmart don't, IE good music.

  • Yes. Indeed I do. Personally I prefer to buy the majority of my music in it's physical release/CD. It's much more pleasurable to go out of the house and get the CD/album containing the album artwork, linear notes/lyricism and credits. I'm I suppose just WEIRD like that. The only exception, is if an artist that I like distributes an album that possesses only a few good songs- then I have to resort to purchasing those songs from iTunes.

  • i've only been to walmart twice, and both times their own employees were being arrested for shoplifting.

  • @commiesmasher HAHAHAHA!! I WORKED THERE!

  • @commiesmasher Cause stealing from your work is so uncommon and frowned upon by everybody.

The only people shocked about people stealing from their workplace is management of said store.

  • Slackers in Columbia MO. Lots of record stores out here, but Slackers is the closest.

  • I get most of my music from either Target or Best Buy

  • i go to the antique flea market in aberfoyle (tiny little hick town outside my city) and get cheap vinyl. awesome sauce. for cds, usually boring, expensive places like hmv or future shop.

  • rip vic!

also RIP "the rev" (avenged sevenfold) looks like it was a bad day for musicians :( xxx

  • i use iTunes a lot but i love my record store Music Reunion!!!

  • I buy albums from 'de mada'

  • Newbury Comics.~

  • Yes and No, I go to Digital Planet in Murfreesboro, TN and Walmart, because pride has nothing to do with savings, and with more money in my pocket I can buy more stuff from other stores.

  • I buy records. I usually buy records online but when I don't I go to FYE, or Best Buy, or Walmart.

  • i shop at hastings its pretty gooooooood

  • the hmv shops in Ireland, unless the album is out of print and damn near impossible to get, i refuse to download songs/albums

  • Encore records! its a independent shop has thee greatest selection.

  • i buy albums from record shops, normally HMV which is a huge english chain (as Elltrixer has explained) i love it cause they don't just have the normal r&b and pop crap, they have rows and rows of heavy metal and indie and all kinds of stuff. it's truly awesome!

  • there aren't any REAL record stores near where I live so my only option is HMV which is a damn good store to shop for music in.

  • RQ: In Britain the most popular option is HMV. It's a massive chain company.

  • Avenged Sevenfold's drummer has died.

  • :( rip the rev

  • Aberdeen's OneUp :)

  • i would never get illegal downloads...that would be stealing from the artists. but its very hard to find a store dedicated to selling vinyl and cds

  • Tunes is excellent... there's a few of them in jersey...

... Turnersville NJ, and Tunes on the Dunes in Ocean City NJ as well...

  • I buy most of my albums at HMV, 2 for 25 deals :)

  • yeah

either lee records or roxy records,

although there proberly not in america

    (i live in ireland)

  • yeah, i've never heard of either of them...

it's unfortunate what is happening to record stores... they're going down, and big chain stores have horrible selection...

  • @adrock1011

true all the big stores just have the latest pop and hip hop kinda crap

i have about 13 albums and 10 of them were bought in lee or roxy records which are just small shops no bigger then a desant sized school class room

  • just hope Robin Finck and Gary Numan are involved with Trent Reznor's projects

  • well, I live in dumfries, scotland, so theres only two options (apart from online). HMV, and a wee place called barnstorm records, just off academy st. Its not a big selection, but one of the good things is that there's always sex pistols or the clash playing in the background.

    R.I.P

    The Rev

    A7X Drummer

    Gone but never gorgotten

  • I once was in th virgin record store. Awesome!

  • HMV here in the UK yeh ;D

  • don't have one they all closed down

  • My favourite record store is HMV, here in the UK.

  • yea

    JB HI-FI

  • I live in Holland so I used to go to free record shop but they had barely any music. I then found this place called the platenhuis which is only a small walk from my house

  • RQOTD: We have a local store around here that's been there for about 30 years or so and I love it. It's completely indie, and we live in a tiny area, so it's a rare treat to have something like that. It's called the Record Cellar in Vincennes, IN.

  • i go to the mad plater, but the rev died yesterday the drummer from a7x

  • yh he was only 28

im not a fan of a7x infact i hate them but i really feel sorry for the family and friends of the rev

  • what happened ? damn

  • FYE in Woodbridge

  • I buy my stuff on line or at best buy, I used to go to this killer tiny little record store called radio killroy, unfortunately they closed up...

  • I am so distraught of the news of the death of the rev of avenged sevenfold and also of Vic Chestnutt.

  • It used to be

FYE here in El Paso .. but it's closing now :/

so i think i am going to go with ...

sadly target since it's the only one with most albums and cheaper than Best Buy .. :/

  • silver platers cas they din't give a damn if your 18 or under so i can buy what ever i want. and my mom does not have to came with me witch is good. lol

  • It used to be Music warehouse but it got replaced with a ...*sigh* a Sketchers store. I obviously freaked out upon seeing my favorite record store gone only to find a shitty shoe company. Otherwise, now I go to Best Buy.

  • im so sick of f.y.e and best buy i never heard of tunes but right next to my home so ill check it out

  • i only buy albums of my fav bands. and i rarely do that

  • also, i go to best buy since they have the best selection from any other place i go to.

  • Avenged Sevenfold lost a member of the band today. :( Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan passed away today from "natural causes"

Although we know he probly overdosed on drugs.

This is horribly sad since A7X is my favorite band.

Im sorry guys, but this is just awful news. :'(

  • i usually go to best buy or borders..but sumtimes i go to this record store called lovells by my house...they usually have alot of b sides, bootlegs, and vinyls...its also kinda expensive cuz they hardly get customers with things like itunes and rapsody around now

  • JB Hi Fi in Australia, they have an amazing selection

or Landspeed Records, they have some hard to find stuff

  • grooves!

  • omg you drive a corvette

  • @MIJGProductions dude...look again...its actually a century

  • I gotta show some love to DIMPLES...thats my local record store

  • I go to FYE, Best Buy, Barnes N Nobles have some nice selections, and my favorite, Fry's Electronics.

  • YES!!! NEWBURY COMICS DUDE!!!!

  • well! therws play and hmv i go to play cuz its more rock then new pop and rap and new rock but theres this place in down town i like to go to dont remember the name

  • I do go out and buy my music, i usually go to HMV, i'm the same i don't like to go to wal-mart, selection kind of sucks, but my great aunt got me a wal-mart giftcard for christmas, so i'll be getting something from wal-mart

  • From Liverpool England we have some amazing Quirky "high fidelity style" music stores. But im not sharing Nooooo.

  • bull moose music, portland me. fucking greatest place ever

  • The closest record store I know of is in East Stroudsburg, PA by the Sherman Theater. it's all vinyl shop and kinda cool to look at. Otherwise I get my music either from Borders, Target, or iTunes

  • no but i would if i didnt live in the middle

    no were

i go to a bestbuy and thats 30mi away

  • wow. dude, you really sound like a pompus asshole here. Sure, you can shell out $15 - $20 on a CD when I can get the same thing at Wal Mart for $10 - $12. Yet since Wal Mart sells edited CDs, anything I want unedited, I'll go to somewhere else. Sound Exchange. That's in Parkersburg, WV to answer your damn rock query. Rockers will get there music where ever and when ever they can. So learn to suck it up and get rid of that "it's for poor people" bullshit. Dumbass.

  • I love Tunes! I always try to buy in local stores as opposed to chains. The Sound Garden was my favorite when I was back in Baltimore.

  • When are you ganna get to the video where you answer our rock queries?

  • FYE

  • Zia, supportin local record stores! \m/

  • The music stores by my house used to be Circuit City and F.Y.E. Both are gone now. So now i make a trip to a record store in New Orleans called the Mushroom about once a month.

  • I usually go to Target and Barns and Noble. If I'm looking for something by Ozzy or Megadeth, I got to Wal Mart because it's right behind Target in my area. Also if I'm out and about and happen to come across Best Buy, I'll go there. Best Buy is definitely my favorite, it's just too far away from my house

  • Hot topic.....

    or FYE and Best buy

  • of course i still buy albums! The main places that are common to everywhere is hot topic FYE and thats about it... as for real record stores i go to these 2 places on Gratiot (if you lived in Michigan you would know) called Melodies and Memories and Record Time :D

  • Haha, i live in his area and I recognize the borders and chili's in the background.

  • sonic musin in bristol tn closest one to my house

  • btw, Amoeba Records in LA is the bestest. Technically it's the largest record store ever.

  • Fish records, in Balmain Sydney Australia

  • why don't you do the questions video this week if there's hardly any news?

  • i buy my cds at fye

  • there used to be one by my house, it closed down a while back. :( I usually go to FYE now. I like to buy cd's reather than get mp3's an album is not the same without album art and whatnot.

  • I go to a store inChile called Funtracks, I find almost anything there :D

  • Rasputin in the East Bay Area CA....so maybe not for you

  • Cd plus and thats it and walmart where i don't buy from

  • there is an awesome store in newton iowa that sells cds for 5$ and band shirts for 10$ and its awesome becouse they have like 3 rows of underground and local bands albums but just 1 row of mainstreme and its almost all rock. its called back in the day

  • I mostly buy music at HMV, and sometimes Future Shop. And although this doesn't really count, but I go to The Pirate Bay a lot.

  • I go to HMV. there's more films than music, but still good. There's a little indie music place called Fopp in Exeter.

I'm in the UK, so you probably wouldn't have heard of them.

  • i only by cd's of my favorite bands...foo fighters, nirvana, them crooked vultures and others like that

  • My favourite place to buy CD's is HMV (UK)

  • well tower records closed down so all i had was circut city then that closed so now all i have is best buy:(

i heard Amoeba is good though

  • I go to a place called TURN !T UP in Keene, NH. Great really cheap shop.

  • i go anywhere i can find the album im lookin for even if that means walmart i would go there

  • yes i buy records and my favorite is newbury comics in Massachusetts

  • i go to itunes. the lazy recordstore

  • lol i only shop at walmart but i bought all the soad albums there and my nirvana aulms to

  • I usualy go to Tower Records, or to a chain of supermarkets here in colombia they sell records too.

  • well i go to bestbuy but i know there is this one called the mushroom but a bunch of college poepl i think go there

  • Greywhale all the way
