  • If you can do this on an iPad, does that mean LMFAO can't cook a beat worth shit or has music production software become just good enough to do this on a mobile device like an iPad?

  • @SETHHIKARU Their original version is a bit more complex than what I've done here. But iPad/iPhone mobile music software has come very far and isn't stopping anytime soon. BeatPad is priced $5-$7 so we have come a long way from the days where one had to have $10,000 worth of equipment to make music.

  • @xmeapps I guess that's a good thing to know but the one thing that still hasn't changed about music software, is that it still takes talent and work to make something good and that's the way it always should be.

  • damnn u good!

  • Bad drum samples but other than that really cool.

  • Drums are a tiny bit out

  • @SanityFairs Yes it has audio exporting.

  • hey when you done making your intrumental beat, can you import it into your computer?

  • @xmeapps

hi i am looking for an original house beat could u send me one and i record to it and make a video and u get royalties for it, email me ianee_e@yahoo.co.uk

  • o so cool 2 bad i only have a kyros.....its kinda like the android phone.....no w8 it is an andriod phone only bigger.....practically.....

  • MIND = stoned :D

  • R.I.P headphone users

  • @xmeapps I know I bought it it is amazing but I was wondering what instruments he used to create the song I found them and thanks for the awesome app I love it

  • @Blasterider45 They are all built into the BeatPad app. It's $5 for now and regularly $7. There are lots of kits Pre-Installed. iPhone and iPad compatible.

  • can someone tell me all of the instruments hes using? thanks

  • Cool

  • @xmeapps is*

  • @brass86 Who wouldn't want their son to take advantage of their success? He's probably a proud dad. I used to think like that too... "eh, Mr. Gordy's his daddy!!" until I put my son in his shoes... Then I said, "This LMFAO guy I just taking advantage of an inherited opportunity. Smart"

  • this is awesome

  • 5:02 you have like butter or what in your hands?

  • watched the whole thing and i dont even have an iPad

  • Greasy ass Fingures

  • @JaysWaysOfficial Well I think they are pros. The truly professional part is making money from it. That part is not so easy. But thanks for liking my iPad video.

  • @xmeapps doesn't seem too hard to make money when your dad is Berry Gordy

  • @EriMariee Thanks!! BeatPad has been updated a lot since this video too. There's an app called "Studio" that lets you import BeatPad music and record vocal stacks over it. iPad and iPhone are pretty cool with these apps.

  • @CstuDios13 It is a good one. It's time for both of us to upgrade though.

  • @angeriod The BeatPad app is pretty cool. If I were using Logic or ProTools, it would have been longer and more detailed.

  • @buddygurl091 I'm glad you enjoyed it!

  • @neonjunior69 You're right :) but remember, this is done very quickly and entirely in a $5 iPad app.

  • @angeriod You're right. The music production is relatively easy once you get good at production. The hard part is making it popular.

  • @matprithellodave It's true. Electronic music production is a lot of fun and is complicated to produce from scratch. I am excited to see how mobile music production is progressing. It's cool to be able to do this much on a 1st gen iPad!!! Anyways, maybe I'll make some videos of my work on Logic for those of you who are into the more intricate production tutorials.

  • lol this is stupid , their are no dynamics whats so ever synth is wrong , just because u have the same rythym as song doesnt mean its the same . These are some weird ass preset chords and in the song sexy and i know it has an acid drop :p

  • i have the same laptop as you

  • he's rushing the tempo -_-"

  • synth sounds nothing like the original. they used a 303 or the like in that song.

u used some dumb-ass trance chord preset. lazy.

  • Do they have a version for iphone?

  • @CoolerThanEnt Yes. BeatPad is universal, so it works on iPhone and iPad.

  • .....synth sound is completely wrong....am I the only one hearing this?

  • @FalsetOfficial Yes, yes you are

  • So you can have the newest hardware out there and still make bagger (bagger is a dutch word for garbage)I know people who only use a tracker and produce hit every week.

  • lol...i dont even know what to say..

  • This Guy Is Awesome ^-^ Shut Up, Haters. Just Keep Doing What You're Doing. It's Epic♥

  • thumbs up if ur left hand was on ur chin. and then ur were like -bobbing head-

  • @buddygurl091 OMFG i was totally doing that then looked down at this comment and was like ZOMG xD

  • @Spriggs456 LOL!

  • @buddygurl091 lol close, my face.

  • @buddygurl091 how do you know that ?

  • @buddygurl091 Mind freak

  • You like like afrojack

  • Not even....doesnt sound close enough

  • @MJG991 alright, why dont you try...

  • Shows how easy it is to make beats that pros make.

  • @angeriod It's because LMFAO aren't really pros. They make the easiest kind of music that anyone can reeplicate

  • @JaysWaysOfficial Actually LMFAO are pretty boss at what they do, and I hate to burst everyones boner but this was actually replicated pretty poorly...

  • @angeriod its easy to copy -- try making it in the first place.

  • @angeriod Yeah go ahead and recreate it from scratch without pre-EQ'd samples. Stupid

  • @MrImbazo of course you still need skill. Some of the nicest sounding beats are simple. Once you know how to make really nice sounding beats its easy to do it.

  • @angeriod Oh no that is so so so wrong, everyone thinks it's easy but electronic music production is very complicated, and it requires a lot of work an experimentation just to sound decent.

  • @angeriod Potentially the dumbest comment I've ever seen on youtube.

  • @angeriod You really think that producing music is only making rhythms? LOL. Idiot.

  • @angeriod no friend - it shows you how easy it can be to remake a song with different sounds.

Creating an original song from scratch is not easy.

  • @tomaytemptation Making that kind of music is still very easy compared to other styles of electronic

  • @PhenixDj debatable, dubstep is never catchy, house is the same shit for 11 minutes, DnB just isn't catchy and electro is basically this but vocals instead of a lead.

Anyway, you shouldn't only rate music on it's complexity, which, I know is hard to do if you make music. This song went multi-platinum in a few countries so they've obviously done something right.

  • @tomaytemptation Dubstep is not catchy right, on house I also agree, even though Progressive house can be very catchy and chilling. What I mean are Hardstyle and Handsup. I personally dont like handsup but I think those both have the most work behind it, having the idea for the melody and Producing it is really hard in those styles.

  • @tomaytemptation And yeah of course I dont just rate the music by its complexety, I just think they had a easy time making this song. Anyway its not my style but that definately depends on the taste ;)

  • epic fingerprints at 4:54 !

  • The Camera is dancing.

  • what's better imaschine or beatpad ?

  • @bosnianfcker They are different. iMaschine has a lot of features and is nice. BeatPad is easier to use and has excellent sounds. I have them both.

  • YUCKYY!! SO MANY YUCKY FINGERPRINTS AHHHHH!!!!! nice work bro btw

  • I can do this ... Hold my beer.

  • anyone else see the black circles between the squares on screen... its an optical illusion :P :L

  • greasy fingers or what

  • That laptop has such crisp sound, is it a macbook?

  • @tom09005 //Facepalm...He has it connected to his speakers

  • @tom09005 I had the laptop plugged into the speakers. But MacBook Pros are generally good for making music. Well, now iPads are good for making music :)

  • WOOOW, amaazingg ... HE MADE LMFAO song on BeatPad at 8 minutes!!!!!! IMAGINE THAT!

  • @martanozzi NOTICE. There were a few cuts... Probably more than just 8 minutes.

  • @encounter99 Right. I may have taken 10 minutes really. But had I not tried to explain things, I could do it in 2 minutes I think. Download BeatPad and play with it for a while. You will see how easy it is to make beats. And your beats will sound good.

  • @martanozzi Thanks!

  • could you run this as an external midi?

  • Just Copy Afrojack - Pacha on Acid

  • @jubbi2k7 i was soo pissed when i heard im sexy and i know it for the first time cus afrojack is way better

  • well done, brilliant.

  • finger fat but cool

  • what song settings did you use for this ?

  • how do i get this from cydia??

  • that was freakin amamzing it really came together, well done!

  • Can you show how to add in pauses and vocals?

  • Drums a little off but i get the idea. ;)

  • BeatPadHero

  • glad this isnt a stage on rhytm heaven XD

  • POLO POLO POLO .... i got that sweater

  • from where i can buy one beatpad??

  • @LemonicSmiley Click the link in the description to download BeatPad.

  • @xmeapps ohhhhh snaps that's crazy, but I can't rock I need real pads I would end up breaking that thing lol MPC all day smh, what will they think of next? Making beats through fruit? LOL

  • @44danoc Trust me, you'd love it! Its just a lot of fun making music on your iPhone and iPad.

  • @xmeapps I think I would get this for mobile purposes only thing, this is nice and compact and easy to use, this is a cool tool I am glad I got to see this. Does it have quantize on it?

  • @44danoc Yes, BeatPad has quantize and has been updated several times since this video. There is a step sequencer to visually adjust your notes. You can export via mp3, facebook and youtube. And you can share your song files with friends for collaboration. Check it out I think you'll like it.

  • @xmeapps Peace how are you? Oh no I already like it and the concept, oh I can't try it out I don't have an iPad. Yes see a new version they are up to version 4. when I get the iPad I will get it, it's cheap so it's cool. Wait how much money does the BeatPad cost so I know how much it is without speculating?

  • @44danoc It usually cost $7 but has been $5 for the past month. Basically, it cost as much as a McDonald's meal...

  • @xmeapps Oh ok, so it's the iPad that cost the money and this is cheap. Well scratch the Micky Dees, I don't eat that crap lol $7 dollars is my Salmon money lol. Seriously though, that's a great deal, can't beat that it's almost for free. Yeah this I would definitely get once I got an iPad and learn how to use it. You gave a good demo of it, so when I do get it Im coming straight to you for questions lol hahah Nah it looks intuitive though.

  • @xmeapps Also what synth are you using? Will it be able to trigger sounds from places like Titan, Omnisphere, sylenth? Where are you getting those sounds from?

  • @44danoc The app has a bunch of sounds built in. It is not a midi controller like the MPC, although it might become one some day. Once you download it to your iPhone/iPad, just open it, select an instrument, record track 1, then do the same through track 8.

  • @xmeapps WHAT? It came with those sounds? That's bananas!!!! OH man that's tight. OH yeah definitely looking into that. So lets say you did that track, how would you get every track individually rendered to disk so you could import or drag and drop into say like Protools?
