    positive attitude

  • the mp40 is a great weapon

  • Finland owns all! ^^

  • Germany:

    1. The TRAINS (Trans Euro Express anyone?)

    2. The fact that Doenner's, a HUGE business in Germany, didn't evolve to the rest of the world like McDonald's did.

    3. The culture and land itself.

    4. The villages, and houses.

    5. RAMMSTEIN!!!!! R+!!

  • Germany and USA=best countries in the world

  • I LOVE THE ICE-CREAM!!!! and the fact that you absolutely cannot get fat in germany cuz of all the walking no matter how much ice-cream you eat

  • just one little mistake:

The season for aspargus from germany goes from April to June 24th. There is no autumnal season.

    ein kleiner Fehler:

Die Saison für deutsche Spargel geht von April bis zum 24. Juni.

  • This is a great educational vidio and I think I have learned to appreciate my home United States a lot more.

  • i freaking love these videos!

  • Autobahn in Germany - doing 250km/h in your car is awesome. but the green prarty might ruine that soon.....

  • Absolutely love the train system in Germany, the wonderful sense of history in many cities and towns of the German countryside, the Autobahn and of course, the Porsche (the 911 GT2 to be specific). Bach and Beethoven were genius and Goethe's works were sublime. From an American in Las Vegas... Peace!

  • Fußgängerzone! I love that cities encourage people to walk around and not have to worry about crossing busy streets and sickly car pollution.

  • Hahahaha!

Spargel!!! Ahh I love Spargel! :)

Have you guys been to Schwetzingen? It's very popular there :)

  • 3 things i love about the US:

    - positive attitude

    - film industry

    - Obama

    1 thing I hate:

    - the overstimilation of one's own capabilities (lol, das kam im online-wörterbuch für "Selbstüberschätzung" raus :D)

  • talk about what you don't like about each country

  • I love the american humor....especially the famous random-humor. Most germans don't get those lol

  • random humor is my favorite cus im a random person^.^

  • there awsome...gruß from österreich

  • Die deutschen sind sowieso die geilsten :-)

  • i love our beer culture, beside the czech one...

  • Deutschland its all, ich liebe deutschland

  • Both countries are great. I´m german but I wanna live in the USA sometime. I don´t know when but anytime it will happen. I KNOW that. =)

  • @robbie086 nicht alle unter 21 knallen sich so die rübe weg, es gibt auch welche die sich beherrschen können! man kann nicht alle über einen kamm scheren.. aber der clip is super =)

  • nope it's true... look it up

  • Germany is such a great country.

I´ve got some videos like this on my channel, watch it!!!

  • Great Vid - so my (German) Top 5 about both countries are: The US: - No-Jealousy-Society - High-School sports - Great landscapes - Hollywood - Burgers Germany: - ooooold culture (from Karl the Great to Angie Merkel) - Social security system (e.g. health) - Music (from Beethoven to Tokio Hotel) - Literature (from Goethe to Funke) - Drinking allowed before being 21 - Cologne (best city on earth!) reklamedame
  • In fact nobody here likes Tokio Hotel! That's not metal, just for little girls

  • NOBODY is just wrong - at least they sell thousands of albums each year.

Doesn't mean that "I like" them - but a lot of people do obviously. And - to be honest - I never heard that anyone called them a "Metal-Band". Of course that's POP.

  • ...who ever said they were metal? lol

  • Fuck you! I LOVE Tokio Hotel!

  • sht the fuck up emo bitch

  • I'm not an emo you dumb shit. That was the worst insult i've heard!

  • Sag mal kommst du aus Schwäbisch Hall?

  • I like the housing style in Germany.

  • What i like most about America are the landscapes. I always have the image of route 66 in my head with those great mountains. i also like fast food. yea its unhealthy and not good for ur figure but i cant imagine a world without mc donalds. what i like most about germany is probably the language itself. You can express every feeling and thinking, English is like the baby-version of German language. One nice thing in germany are also the Volksfeste or the Oktoberfest. you know what i mean :D

  • but...it's clear that when you visit other countrys: you visit the best things of the countrys . I live in germany and i find that germany is cool but I like america much better. but you want that what you can't have xD sry for my bad english xD

  • The parks over here are pretty awesome.

  • As an American in Germany I love how clean and green it is here. The recycling is awesome! Sausages! The aesthetics of the towns, everything is quaint compared to America....but they are laking in convenience, few free public restrooms, no 24 hour stores, odd business hours... the costumer service hasn't been that bad from my experience, um... It's mainly beautiful and my years here are very special. Love Germany!

  • im from america and i must say germany is probaly better america is a superpower but everyone is fat... dont get me wrong we rock but bush fucked us up..and im asking germans in time of war in modern days do you make rashions of food like in ww2 like we did to because most of my freinds and me berly knew about them until like 2003 or 4... we are realy advanced though and have kickass military but i wish we had less advances and fast food

  • i haven't been to germany in 2 years and doener are definitely at the top of my list of things i miss the most!

i <3 recycling in germany. i've always recycled a lot and it was awesome to see EVERYONE do it when i was there

lastly: i love the beer. the atmosphere and attitude with beer, the taste, the friendships. it's amazing. my first beer was in germany and i cant drink american beer now, it's just gross

  • OMG a country without Döner?! :O poor americans ='D

  • I luv both countries...Can"t decide

  • you guys brought up some good examples

im german and american but i like germany better because it's a comfortable environment and everyones always in a good mood

  • haha gas station restrooms are the nastiest places on earth!

  • I´m german and i´ve been to the Miami last year.

    Some things i loved:

-The people. They´re just downright and you see all kind of different personalities.

-The bars. Whoever has been to an old american bar before just knows what i mean.

-The cars. I just love muscle cars, especially the 67 Ford Mustang.

-You can find an ATM anywhere you go, without walking around looking for a bank like in Germany.

-Barbeques! I´ve never seen a whole pig getting grilled at a private party before. Priceless!

  • Comment removed

  • haha! I'm from Germany(Bavarian elite) and we often grill a whole pig (Spansau), private and priceless...

    ...for the guests!

    great Video!

    greetings!

  • i'm an american living in germany and so far one of biggest things i love about germany is that german drivers are 10 times better than american drivers. the driving laws are more strict than they are in the states and the drivers here are more disciplined than americans; they obey the laws more so than us americans. this is a MUST when you're dealing with the highspeeds of the autobahn down to the tiny, twisty village roads. speaking of autobahns, i'm going to miss driving 130 mph when i move.

  • i love the USA and Germany ive been to both and i love them both :)

  • i like the Polish in Germany

  • Okay..Germany:

    Beer,

    Döner,

    Cars,

In USA i like football and baseball. I wish I'm a football or baseball player^^ I love it.. And the dads with their kids in the baseball stadium like in movies^^

And.. the most important thing: SUPERBOWL on a large TV! ^^

  • germany

  • I´m German... and my Top 5 are: Germany: - Beer culture - a lot of culture - the diversity of cities, towns, villages - good food - knowing "Handball" USA: - Burgers (especially "Jack in the Box") :-D - diversity of nature (extreme opposites) - Donuts - easy lifestyle - that a lot of americans like it, if they meet a european
  • hey i am from germany ....

like this video much ..really enjoyed it.

    awesome done guys. WOOOOT ;)

best in USA is of course NBA !!!

i love your sports ...with heart and soul.

something about the "Döner - Doener".

lol ...many german people think its from turkey ...but its not.

its from a guy from berlin.

he had a kinda snackbar.one guest wanted to take his food with so he put the meat and salat and stuff in this bread,

    thats the Döner or Doener.

  • hey I am German.

I like the relationship between students and teachers better here in the U.S than in Germany. In Germany it just seems as if the teachers were sort of strict and there's kind of a distance between the students and the teachers, that seperates them from each other. Here in the U.S. teaches appear friendlier to me and more respectful towards students.

  • i got back from germany in summer of 2008. its an amazing place. loved every minute. the food is amazing. not real greasy and fattening. the people are very nice and friendly. and the people do not just drink to drink. beer is in their culture.

  • sorry mistypes

  • the best american export is FASTFOOD

  • God, I hate that I can't find weissen Spargel hier in the US. I miss it. Green one just doesn't do the job... Und Doener auch...

I also very much agree with the Beer culture, and also the attitude towards the Beer, here in America, it's more like: get it down, get wasted, have sex, then throw up. While in Germany it's a get together, watch a soccer game, drink a couple beers, for the taste rather then the alcohol affect. I hope I'm making sense...

  • Oh wow, Yeah. I agree.

I'm American, and I've never been to Germany or Europe, for that, but I completely agree with the fact that we just drink to get drunk. But I guess some people like flu-like symptoms.

I want to go to Germany so badly. It looks so nice there.

  • Most of the younger people in europe also drink to get drunk. No difference to america.

  • Yes, I think there is no place on earth where people don't drink to get drunk, but you would never see a group of teenagers sitting in a park with a sixpack of beer, chilling/tanning/playing cards in america.

And that's what my friends and I do in germany. I miss that. :(

  • yea that cause you get beaten by a cop if you do that :P IF you live around Washington dc u know what i mean

  • both are greatest countries in the world.

  • I love the looks of the homes in germany also people are much friendlier and cuter haha

  • The best about Germany:

1- People are not that superficial

2- You get a chance to watch Bayern Munich game in Alianz Arena

    3- Very green cities/recycling

    4- Festivals in Koln

    5- Their beer culture

  • damn that asparagus stuff looks good, is it like covered in flour?

  • germans were the best

  • "bestest"?

    no english

  • Awesome Idea....watched this channel few days before and I really enjoyed it. Keep it up!

The best things about the US:

    Cheescake Factory

    Malls

    NBA

    the very different landscapes

    Obama

And for me one of the best things....how the society is dealing with handicapped and mentally retarded humans. Germans should learn from the Americans about this issue!!!

    Cheers mates;-)

  • Beer is the best in germany

    Germany is the best xD...

but hey guys, the us and germany are the same nation... learn about history and you know that i am right

  • what?

  • my absolute favourite show on youtube xD i like GvU more now than nigahigas videos! you are so great!

ihr seid einfach nur über göttlich leute xD ich liebe eure show, jeden tag nach der schule reinziehn XD macht weiter so!

  • but i'm neither from germany or the US T_T

  • DEUTSCHLAND, das beste Land der Welt!!!

    Stolzer Patriot!

  • maybe the convinance (sp?) is the reason american people are so lazy and fat.

  • I'm loving that MSU hat ;)

  • @ bireman and wuselcat

  • BEER !! :-D

  • GERMANYYYY

  • are you guys a couple. if you are, great!!

  • What I like about the US... well, the many useless laws, such as one is prohibited to bath a donkey in a bathtub in new york

  • DÖNER ! <3

  • do you guys move like every week

  • I realy like all the treeas on the side of the roads in Germany. And all the nice people, i only was in east germany and Berlin and i think the people in Berlin were rude and unmannered, and the people in Stralsund and around it were. was realy nice, unfortunatly i saw a loot of skinnheads in East germany and they made me feel afraid evin though i am Norweagian.

  • Berlin is a bad example, they might seem rude, buts its more the mantality of the city. Berlinians don't behave in a rude manner, its just that they, somewhat, either completely open, making them seem rude and or friendly, depends what take you got on it. Plus... berliner schnautze uses ALOT of sarcasrm and irony

  • But i must idmit i LOVE Germany ! i have only been there once but the impresion i got was superb. i wouldent mind if all of Europa was German

  • we are a very friendly nation ^^, of course with exceptions, as they are everywere...

  • thats what we tried to do several years ago... no just kidding ;) greez to norway.

    thx for the compliment

  • ha, so the american dude starts eating soup..

    In germany... i like Sas

    <3

  • Döner was invented in Germany!

  • yes...but i was a turkey guy...

  • I love Döner!!!! You're seriously missing out if you haven't tried it yet.

  • I love the girls in Germany. They are so cute.

  • Kebbab for the win HHAAhaha but now its so arabic about it.

  • @saradeanne92

We are quite similar than the Americans. But try some Döner here (if you are not vegetarian xD )

  • well actually doner kebab is turkish

  • well, it was invented in berlin

  • the döner was invented in germany, berlin trainstation "zoologischer garten"

  • ja...von nem türken

  • Döner is invented in Berlin from a guy from Turkey but in Germany^^

  • no it's not, it was invented in turkey, in Kastamonu. I also thought it was invented in germany, but i looked it up and i saw it's not. Check Wikipedia or something^^

  • You´re both right!

The original döner was invented in turkey, but the more known döner (the döner everyone knows in germany) was invented in berlin. A turk tried to sell his orginal döner, but he noticed that germans want something that they can eat fast. Than he put all the "dönerthings" in this bred and sell it. Thats the new döner. ... So youre both right!

sorry my englisch :D I going to make a exchange year in the USA next year and than (I hope) it will become better :S

  • I love US TV!

  • To saradeanne92.

    Yes we are. :D

  • Good, I want to get all the info i can about the differences BEFORE i go to Germany,

i would like to offend as less people as possible. But the straighforward-ness is awesome, because i cant stand wasting time.

  • I like the fact that in Germany, Germans are straightforward, i heard this from my German Teacher, im not sure if it is true, but if it is that is really great.

  • i think ur teacher is right.

we don't talk about around something (in german -> um den heissen brei reden :P ), we say it straight, do it straight.

  • the longest asperge is 3.10 metres! It's in holland and really long!

  • My favorite thing from Germany?

TOKIO HOTEL!!! Sure you may not be able to tell if the lead singer Bill is a boy or a girl but if you hear the band before you see them ithink you enjoy itso much more expecially if you listen to the lyrics first!!! Oh and another thing from Germany I like is the language I dont know why but I love the german language its just so fun to learn and to hear!

  • :P Tokio Hotel :P

I am not a fan of them, but i have to say:

i like that they are getting famous all over the world. ppl (or especially kids) start to learn german just because of the band and i think thats a great thing.

and i wished i would listen to german without knowing, just to know how it sounds like for notgermanspeakers

  • are you serious with the trains in germany??? the trains of the german railway never arrive in time ("because of technical problems") and the conducters speak a terible english ("sank you fo trravelling wis deutsche bahn") ^^

  • so true

  • Jazz, one of the, if not the best, American invention...it ain't got a thing if it ain't got that swing...

  • German "Sauerkraut" is incredible tasty :)

  • I like the "good" America of Martin Luther King, Civil-Rights-Movement, JFK, Flower Power, Abe Lincoln, Forrest Gump, The Beach Boys and the spirit of "Pet Sounds", the" European-Recovering-Program" (called "Marshall-Plan"), the Quakers and their "Care"-Pakets, The Chocolate-Bombers during the Berlin-Blockade, Barack Obama and the wonderful Americans who kicked off George Doubleshoe Bush!!! Thank you Guys :-)
