  • haha u replyed my comment ha.. lsn baby u are the worst flamenco guitar player.. my eyes have ever seen and my ears have ever heard... plz plz dont upload any vedio to the youtube KEEP IT FOR U"R SELF... t.c

  • Haha, you did suck in the beginning. Just like the rest of us, but you are much better now. An inspiration to get people to pick up a guitar and play!! You have sought out masters and played with your peers such as Csybu. You have shared what you learned. You visited flamenco scenes and shared your musical journey with us. Keep up the good work and God bless.

  • thanks amigo! the journey has only begun, who knows what else will happen? :-D i would love to organise a big massive flamenco thing that we could all go to and meet everyone from youtube! that would be amazing, but we all need loads of money for that! :-(

  • Well played Derek ,youtube is certainly a great place to learn for free ,So keep up the good work and keep posting your films,Cheers!!! Brian

  • man plz 4give me but ur playing is sucks and u'r technic is horrible plz man dont ply spanish.... flamenco isnt u'rs man!!!!!!

  • that's why my channel is called rubbish @ flamenco! haha but you should watch some of my older videos if you want to see me suck!

and flamenco will be mine! (with more practice) ;-)

    cheers bro

    derek :-)

  • Post your videos then let us judge you !

  • hehe cheers :-)

  • Bravo, Derek! Very well played!

  • muchas gracias amigo mio!

  • You are inspirational, what you are doing is benefiting hundreds of guitarists throughout the world. And I would like to start from the beginning but haven't gotten around to it. I play regular folk strumming, but can do a little rasgueado and picking. I am using an odd guitar now. It is a 12 string with only 6 strings and the strings are three classical nylons and 3 electric flat wound thick strings. It actually sounds pretty good, a little buzzing that I hope to get fixed.

  • @jairosoft thanks very much! messages like that are inspirational for me to continue!

  • This is rather cool Derek, some great rhythmic passages. You say it is supposed to be faster - by how much?

  • hi paul! my version is 4 mins, juans is 2:45!!!!

  • Great Job. I certainly enjoy your playing. I have just finished learning Alegrias and I am now attempting Fandango. I hope to post soon. Thanks Derek.

  • thanks! will you be posting your alegrias soon? :-)

  • nice mate!

  • bravo derek very good job

  • gracias amigo!

  • nice honey xx

  • cheers babe ;-) xx

  • what's an octave and can someone provide me an example?

  • on google make a music theory search you'll get surprised with the results!

  • it's the same note higher up!

try an open string on the guitar compared to the 12th fret on the same string, thats a full octave, think of it like a spiral staircase with 12 steps between each floor.

  • Well done again Derek

  • cheers amigo!

  • loved it!

  • thanks!

  • I'm enjoying this and my feet can't stop tapping when it start at 0:24 :) Thank you Derek, and send my regards to Dougie! :)
