I saw them play under the name "The Kim Simmonds Band" in a tiny venue in Ottawa back in the day. They were great but loud & I was deaf for four hours after.
Lot's of great guitar work by Kim - since Getting to the Point LP in '68,Blue Matter, A Step Further, & Raw Sienna all in '69, & Looking In 1970 - my favorite Savoy Brown LP's. '94's Bring it Home another favorie. Keep rockin, Kim!
Hes technically much better now : it comes with age as long as the dexterity is still there. Too bad guys like Kim go largely unheralded except in the inner circle of players or true conosiours of music.

simmonds sounds much different then the late 60's. he is much more polished than he used to be.he is one of my favorite guitarists.

Oh yeah! Probably number 1 on the list of most UNDERATED and NEGLECTED blues guitar players!
He still sounds as good now as he did back in his early days, maybe better!
