i wanted to design cars back when i was in high school but instead i chose to be an architect. But that doesn't mean i wont design a car, in fact i have many cools designs i want to explore. BTW, this design is cool but i don't think we'll still be riding on wheels.

Why does it always have to be audi with the futuristic flying cars? is not like just because you see a slightly cool car in a stupid robot movie then its really going to happen. anyways flying (or futuristic) cars will probibly be made by a new mark of cars ( or whatever they will call flying cars) since humans, including the big decision makers of companies like audi fear change and would never invest as much money for research as research for flying cars would need.

Hey, Ruben, how did you become a car designer? I wanted to be one out of high school. What did you do and what courses did you take? I love creating sketches of cars and btw this Audi is amazing. Nicely done!

@luisusmc24, in my personal case, after finishing my University studies in Engineering Design, I coursed a Masters in Transportation Design during two years. You can often access these kind of Masters by having studies related to design or fine arts, and going through a sellection based on your sketch skills.

But in some countries like Germany and France, Universities already offer the studies that you need to become car designer, avoiding the Masters Courses afterwards.

...its a great concept... but for now!!!...they can make this now.... 2080 is too far for this... it will be obsolete by then... maybe the vehicles then will be organic made...or maybe there wont be street cars at all...but only flying personal vehicles, or transfer vehicles on magnetic monorails....2080 is too far for predictions, with the pace that technology advances now....

@LieutenantLimey there are no wheels, there are four spheres that moves in every direction. Similar system than the shown in RSQ. You can see them in 1:05.

Yes, it can turn in every direction. No, it is not dangerous because the movement of the spheres is being controlled by the car, the same way that you controll the direction of any actual car.

In other words, its the movement that you give to the spheres what makes the car move or bend in a corner, not the opposit.

Due to big interest and questions from many of you, the complete project with all the technical details of the 2080 Audi Monovolume will be unveiled soon.
