@voidshirt That's like asking how an apple compares to an orange...they are totally different...try them both and see what is most comfortable to you...the Ibanez is a better made guitar though (no offense to anyone who would choose the Squier).
@greengtrs Yeah, I was looking to make a small upgrade from a Squier that I've owned for way too long, but would be really disappointed if the Ibanez neck turned out to be significantly thicker. It seems like the Art is worth trying out, though. Thanks for replying so quickly
@voidshirt Squiers can vary so I don't know what yours feels like, but these are relatively thin (something that Ibanez is kind of known for...some are ultra thin).
im getting this guitar! i was not gona get it cuz i wasn't shure how well it would sound for country rock but after watching this i know it will.great vid. :-)
Take it these just come with standard Ibanez tuners right? Are they any good? Or would it be a good idea to invest in a set of grovers for this guitar?
@Noobletnate Yes they were standard tuners but they worked fine...they would be the last thing I replaced...I would do pickups, electronics (pots & switches), and then maybe hardware...but it was really fine as is (as I think you could hear)...if you really want to nit pick, then replace some stuff but you could use it as is (spend your money on a great amp and speaker rig first...that will make the biggest difference...look/listen to how many "cheap" guitars I make sound good with my set up).
@greengtrs Alright. You think they would still be fine for only as low as drop c? I usually use Ernie Ball skinny top heavy bottoms on the guitars I use for drop c. Right now I use a line 6 spider IV 75watt so my amp is already fairly decent, or atleast to me since everybody seems to hate those amps lol.
@MrRobohomo I had no problems and was very, very impressed...but I did a thorough set-up. Any and every guitar can and will buzz if not set up right...and they rarely come from the factory just right (especially when you add in a players own technique/style/string choices). Get it set up...
@markway16 It's kind of personal preference...this is more old school (Les Paul) style and has a set neck vs. a bolt on more modern style with the RG321MH (which is a more versatile guitar with the 5 way selector)...I have a demo I did with the same amp set up so you can check them both out and compare...they are both good guitars...try to put your hands on them...they feel very different...the RG's generally have a very thin neck and an extra 2 frets (24 vs. 22). I really like them both a lot!
@sparkielopiez That's what they go for new...this was used and about $200...click the info under the video and I tell about the amp and speakers...but it's not my Marshall...it's a Fender and Avatar rig...
@Maht25 I use the ART 100L when I go onstage and it's an all around great guitar. If it wasn't then I wouldn't take it on stage with me. If you want to get your hands on one, check out Guitar Center, they go for $200 there.-Joe
@TheBlueVoid yeah, that's what i'm saying! their low levels are as amazing as the uppers of most other companies, my buddy bought one for like 400 and it's better than my other friends 800 dollar schecter and my ESP PB-500, which i bought for 650, but i know it goes for more.
@Maht25 Exactly, everyboody assumes that the more expensive guitars are better, like Gibson, Jackson, Schecter, and B.C. Rich. I know some great guitars that don't cost much, like Rickenbacker, Hagstrom, and of course, Ibanez. What these guitars all have in common is their pricing, durability, and tone.-Joe
I have the same guitar. Does the guitar cable to the amp really make a difference to the sound?

This seems like a really promising guitar, considering its price. How do the neck dimensions compare to an Affinity Squier Strat?

@JUMBOpin i meant the Art-100
because the kid who in particular said this owns an Ibanez RG-7 something rather. hahaha
but i love this guitar, even their low ends are high end to a lot of companies.
