That day i was at a Rangers cup game at Celtic Park when it was all terracing. I didnt really know much about it until i got home about 10pm because mob phones werent on the go then. Ill never forget that day. RIP
I was in a pub in Burnley right next to Turf Moor when this Happened, Me and my uncle and his Buddies were watching 'Grandstand' when we saw the first images. i Was 12 at the time. Ian in Canada.
I am a Manchester United season ticket holder and I remember this day vividly! I was playing football and remember coming off at half time and asking what the score was when someone said there was violence and 4 people were dead!! I came off at the end and heard that there was a crush and 20 were dead! I have never known a dressing room so quiet after a game than the one on that day!! Of course we have our rivalry and taunt my Liverpool supporting friends accordingly, but I will never forget th
And just wanna say it's very very decent of all the non liverpool fans showing their sympathy, There's many out there who sadly wouldn't bother, Good On Ya All!!!
A sad day, I dont think the families will ever get the justice they deserve, I just hope those resposible and the writers and editor of the sun newspaper come to a horrible end
i was a typical manchester utd fan, with a very biased view of liverpool fans and often used to laugh about this as a youngster and not long ago was still arguing that some of the responsability has to be put on liverpool fans who may have been drunk i.e. blah blah and so on. but what changed my views was a horrible nightmare in which i was in the leppings lane end and hillsborough was happening to me.. i woke up in shock and will never joke about this again. i apologies 4 being ignorant j96 x

Justice should be served; Duckenfield had CCTV cameras that could zoom in so far into the crowd you could see the colour of a person's eyes, yet instead of calling for medical help when he saw thw horror below, he ordered police reinforcments including dog handlers.
Duckenfield should be tried again in the hope he is brought to justice for what was esentially, indirect murder.
Chief Superintendent David Duckenfield was never charged with the appalling events that he caused through his own incompetence at Hillsborough. He took 'early retirement due to ill health' a common practice amongst high ranking police officers to escape the consequences of their own actions.
Incorrect, starryian. David Duckenfield was tried and acquitted on manslaughter in a private prosecution. Saying he was "never charged" is just inaccurate.
Football stands were death traps, this was a disaster waiting to happen, people say slight crushes were common, and I believe it almost happened here before with Tottenham fans, this was terrorfying, so sorry for everyone there and their families, friends, r.i.p 96
