Mom won't let me make one!!!!! I can swim great like that, actually, I'm better mermaid style underwater, so I see no problem. :( But, my friends and sisters and cousin will be making tails this summer, then when they're done, and we have practice, we will swim at a beach and see how many people freak. :)

@mermaidkassidy It's not ripped, I never sewed the bottom shut. this was my "beta" tail and I was in the process of trying to figure out how to shut it, but still have access to the monofin. I've solved this problem with my new BLUE TAIL, check it out! :)

i made a tail too, and when i went swimming at a public pool... all of the little kids were watching us. then some adult came up to my friend ( also has a tail) and said " Woah! your a mermaid!!!" and all of the little kids came swarming over to us.. it was hilarious!!!!!

They are expensive but very well made, from what I've seen. there's a guy who makes tails for the Mermaids of Weeki Wachee, his name is Eric Ducharme or the mertailor.
