  • jerry rice is the best wide reciever to ever touch a football

  • great video had to mute the music tho! i effing hate that song

  • Representing Mississippi Valley State University! Go Jerry! Thanks much for this video!

  • And kill you!

  • If you say that anyone is better than him, i will hunt you down!

  • Joe Montana, Jerry Rice. Never Forget.

    49ers, forever faithful.

  • The argument is who is the second best receiver of all-time. Then you can argue Moss, Harrison, Fitzgerald, Carter, Brown, Bruce, Owens, Alworth, Sterling Sharpe, etc.

  • @kriskilpatrick81391 i sayz fitzjerald!!!!!!

  • Some people are just fucking stupid.

There is NO ONE, probably in ALL OF SPORTS, who is as separated from his counterparts at the top than Jerry Rice is to every wide receiver to every play the game.

Arguing who is the best wide receiver to ever play is like arguing who the best Chicago Bull of all-time is. Only children would even think to differ.

  • Wrong song for him. 2% Luck, 98% skill

  • 1:10. 1992, Brussels Belguim, I remember sitting in our living room as a wee lad of 9 watching the only AFN (only American channel Military/Govt folks could get), looking up to see this one handed catch by Rice, became a Niner's fan at that very moment, and still am to this day.

Who's got it better than us?

  • This is just "NFL's Top 100 Players of All Time #1 Jerry Rice" with some music in the background. Does anyone else see this? No creativity or originality here. This is just a blatant rip-off.

  • people who try to tell me that jerry rice was hype.... really now? can't really argue with stats. yeah he had joe montana but he had steve young for longer, but even then the qb can really only make it easier for the receiver to catch the ball, but what about after the catch? no one can really help him shed tackles like that or juke, thats just raw determination and hard work

  • awesome highlight video check out my personal video at scoutingohio com and search tyler grover. let me know what you think i appreciate it

  • lol 1:15 hes like just put it in my hand.

  • he's the michael jordan of football

  • jerry rice vs deion sanders what a match up

  • Lets see chuck Norris do this

  • touchdown touchdown i think im jerry rice

  • The reason Rice was so good is, he wanted more than everyone else. They use to say no matter if it was practice, warm ups, or a game, he was giving 110%. No receiver in the NFL has ever work as hard as he did. He didn't just break records, he obliterated them. Most of his records will never be touched, receivers just don't last 20 seasons at that level of play, with very few injuries.

  • this dude was unbelievable..

  • basedgod brought me here

  • when you have more touch downs then anyone....and no corner in the history of the the nfl could cover you, plus excellent route running, then you would be jerry rice ...every reciever in the nfl can be shut down by some one but rice in never could... he is the mj of recievers...and if yu want to be a great reciever have the skill and will of jerry...i mean the raiders would of had a superbowl with jerry if they would of threw to him

  • 1. Lance Alworth

    2. Jerry Rice

  • @easyscore was drunk that day.

  • Even though I feel like Larry Fitzgerald is catching up to him, Jerry will always be the greatest!!

  • @ThreePointer360 Yo man, stop now, Fitz would need to play 30 yrs to catch em.

  • Jerry Rice doesn't sleep with a blanket because you cant cover him

  • swag jerry rice, i think im jerry rice!

  • This Song Should've Said "Explict" But This Video Is Beastttt

  • i think jerry had to empty a couple of crazy glue tubes on his gloves before the game, his skill is unreal!

  • o ya u should make a yards after catch video with doneld driver

  • You know, i understand Rice's statistical dominance, but he's not "the best" in my opinion. Look at a Marvin Harrison highlight reel and tell me how many simple two-handed catches he makes.

  • @frogman2118 ya and weres randy moss in this :(

  • @COSMICAFRONINJA Moss was way more talented, attitude ruined it for him tho. He takes way too many plays off.

  • @frogman2118 Stats, skills, records, rings, Td's. everything. The guy has absolutely everything...Marvin Harrison? Please!

  • Granted he's kickass, probably better than Megatron will be, but football is very different now. Joe Montana doesn't hold a candle to Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers (or Andrew Luck), and Jerry Rice probably wouldn't stand up to today's defense as well.

  • @utdwcd haha yeah and today's defenses get penalized for barely touching the offensive players...can't compare, it was equally as hard in their generation...rules have changed, game has changed so you can't compare

  • @utdwcd Montana doesn't hold a candle to Tom Brady or Aaron Rodgers. Did you even see the guy play? What a hater. Probably never seen Rice play as well.

  • @utdwcd Such a statement could only come from someone that did not see Montana play. Rodgers and Brees for example just have one championship and Brady needs at least a couple of rings to claim anything on Montana.

  • @PabloMGP Brady needs a couple? He has 3...

  • @CodyTheGoat Well Montana has one more and 3 SB MVP's.

Hey don't get me wromg, I think Brady is an amazing QB and I easily put him over Manning as No. 2 all time. but Montana, SHIT...being a Raiders fan I had to like the fucking Chiefs for 2 seasons just because of him. The guy was that good, he made you forget (some times) that you hated the other team.

  • Fuck Austin Rice the best ever

  • 1:09 - 1:17 one hand catch for fun

  • @GrafPanzer Sweet hands

  • the goat

  • 2:10 Those 2 defenders couldn't stand his power and will!

  • 1st. Press Mute.

2nd. open this in a new tab (/watch?v=wEWYTHQIBWo)

    3rd. Enjoy

  • Rice had a nose for the end zone and a 99 yard sense of smell

  • the song fits perfectly

  • @bakonman12 not even

  • @DankBombCroosh how not?

  • Why is this song and "Here come the BOOM" always Fball highlight songs? lol

  • Moss proved he cld tear the league apart when he finally got brady as a quater back. if he had brady from the beggining passing to him i believe Moss wld be without a doubt the greatest wide reciever to play the game. The man was beatin 3 defenders on him and getin into the inzone for god sakes. And im srry all u patriots fans but Randy Moss made Wes Welker a good player. Because of the attention drawn to moss Welker had a #3 corner coverin him and thats y he looked great.

  • @madba11er1on1 Moss proved when he was motivated and had something to prove he could be the greatest, sadly he also proved he lacked the work ethic and mental fortitude of Jerry Rice. As far as Wes Welker goes are you even watching the NFL this year? He is having a great season.

  • @EyeOfTheGeiger Lol no he was having a great season and was looking fantastic. But that all stopped once they came and played the steelers. Ike Taylor who is definately a good corner but no where near the greatest shut him down and ever since they played the steelers they aint got jack squat. Wes welker cannot handle a number one corner and and Taylor proved it. he always has number 3 corners coverin him or line backers so get out of her. He is definately good but no where near great.

  • @madba11er1on1 Riiiight, because obviously if a great player doesn't have outstanding stats in every game then they can't possibly be great. Good reasoning my friend. It is true that Randy Moss has at least 10 receptions, a 150 yards and at least one touchdown in each and every game he ever played in, he even has the superbowls to show for his awe inspiring greatness. I think you are short sighted.

  • @EyeOfTheGeiger thats not the point you dont get it. wes welker has number 3 corners and linebackers cover him so ofcourse he looks great. if someone is good enough to play against number 2 or even potentially number 1 corners than ofcourse he is gonna look like an all-star when he has a linebacker on him. its like a bench player rookie coming out to gaurd carmelo anthony in basketball. ofcourse he is going to destroy him and he is gonna look unstopable and put up great stats.

  • @madba11er1on1 My friend if what you say is true then a lot more players would put up stats like Welker, this season he caught more passes than anyone else and as far as the superbowl goes I agree he made a mistake but then again I never said Welker wasn't human. I'm not arguing that Welker is the greatest but to devalue him or belittle his talent just silly to me.

  • @madba11er1on1 my point is it is really good talent vs okay talent and 9/10 that really good talent is gonna look great against that okay talent. thats the point. i admit wes welker is really good but the point is he isnt wat every1 was claiming him to be like early in the season when we were talkin about this. btw where was he in the superbowl? idk dropping big catches i think. lol...

  • Without a doubt Jerry Rice was one of the toughest and greatest wide recieves to ever play the game and is definately in a diff class from other wide recievers. However Moss is in that class as well though he will never be considered to be the "Greatest" because he lacks stats and championships. And it kills me all these people talkin about moss's work ethic... If he had a great quater back like Rice did we wldnt be havin this discusion period.

  • @madba11er1on1 This is simply not true, when Randy Moss was still in Minnesota Daunte Culpepper was a probowl quarter back and while I give a great deal of credit ro Randy Moss for this you also have to face the facts that Randy Moss was a locker room cancer and he also would not try his hardest on every play especially if the ball wasn't coming his way as often as he felt it should. Randy Moss was great but his lack of stats has more to do with him than any quarter back he had.

  • @EyeoftheGeiger well said =D

  • @tomroan90 I agree, Moss was probably honestly hands down more athletic. Rice just put the effort into it, at least in my opinion. That's why Rice will go down more remembered than Moss. And Rice never faltered, just full on excellent, every damn day he played. Moss in my opinion is probably the #1 as far as athletic talent in a wide receiver though. Like you said, both great players.

  • @rellekc I also agree Moss was a freak but three words define Rice that Moss could never come close to. Those three words are #1 Consistency #2 Preperation and #3 Desire

  • @EyeOfTheGeiger you sir,are a smart man.

  • @EyeOfTheGeiger Lol and i got one word that moss wld have destoryed yet Rice was anialated by and the word is Deion Sanders. Lol i garantee if any corner in the game had a choice to either cover Randy Moss or Jerry Rice 1 on 1 every single one wld pick to cover Jerry Rice and Deion Sanders wld have a field day with him. Yea Sanders wld have stayed with him but he cld not possibly stop nything over the top to moss like he did with Rice. Never seen Moss shut down 1on1 b4 have u?

  • @madba11er1on1 You're speculating, what Jerry Rice accomplished speaks for itself.

  • From what ive seen, Randy Moss and Jerry Ricee are very similar. They both had the ability to beat people with their speed, excellent boundary awareness. Flawless hands. Jerry Rice has the championships, and the longevity behind him, but I just dont believe he could do some of the things moss did. Both great, great players.

  • best players in history are

    1. al bundy

    2. jerry rice

  • team make team fall at 2:14

  • rice had 5TD game MNF against charles dimry

  • Randy Moss? lol what a punchline compared to Rice.

  • Slo mo sucks.

  • OFFICIAL GREATEST WIDE RECIEVERS OF ALL TIME POWER RANKINGS

    1. JERRY RICE

    2. BRANDON MARSHALL

    3. STEVE SMITH

    4. CHAD OCHOCINCO

    5. TERRELL OWENS

    6. RANDY MOSS

  • @texmexman1 To sucks

  • rice is nothing when put against deion

  • @20ulzzang Deion whoooooooooooo?????

  • @20ulzzang Rice had a 5 TD game on MNF against Sanders..

  • no football is 90%hardwork&dedication and 100% skill

  • Football sucks...

  • @RyRyLove202 your mom sucks the cock...

  • 2:16 LOL !! the Giants

  • Jerry Rice = G.O.A.T. get over it

  • and while moss could kill you deep (even i agree that he is the greatest deep threat of all time) rice would take a 6 yard slant and take it 70 yards. and he did this more than a few times. is that getting "RICED" . and that means less time your o- line needs to protect the qb. and your qb doesnt need a rocket arm to make the throw. as i said not hatin on moss. at all. the guy had and still has loads of talent but when it comes to receivers its jerry rice and everyone else.

  • @dodirty9to5 Rice had joe and young.. when moss hook up with brady look what happen the 1st year

  • @thejayis1 and? he had 23 td's. yep and then thay traded him.... and rice was good at 40 with rich gannon.but i think had brady had rice they woulda won that super bowl cause he coulda threw a slant to rice on a 3 step drop and watched him run insted of 5-7 step drops lookin to go to moss and getin sacked by that gaints rush. 3 step drops mean less time to protect. and nobody and dirty means nobody ran after the catch better than the goat.

  • I bet a white dude could make those numbers with Joe Montana and Steve Young throwing the ball lol

  • they (NFL) came up with the stat yards after the catch because of Jerry! only the greatest helped Joe become the greatest! the Jordan & Pippen of football, no doubt, haters just do it cause there duo sucked!

  • F*ck Rice! Moss is the most talented WR ever! Rice played for a way more consistent team with more talent around him. Not to mention Montana and young as his QB's. Don't even try making any arguments Moss was more talented and scared way more players/coaches. He was just on a team with almost no other playmakers after Cris Carter retired. And Moss still put up huge numbers with no name receivers as the #2 guys

  • @mpj32587 most talent? yep. best player? nope.

  • @dodirty9to5 I agree Rice was a better all around receiver than Moss. But i would personally take Moss over Rice anyday. Moss is faster, taller, had better hands and could out leap Rice. He could also kill you deep on any given play. And when guy's got beat by him you would always hear he got MOSSED, you never heard anything like that when Rice scored cuz he didn't burn guys as badly as Randy did.

  • @mpj32587 no he "burned" them worse. getting "mossed" is when you jump up over a defender and take the ball and thats impressive no doubt. yes rice didn't do that as much as moss and heres why.....HE WAS OPEN! thats my whole point. thats a receivers job. to get open aint it? rice didn't have to "moss" you he was so hard to cover he was open most the time. and rice just played at the start of this "highlight" "sports center" era. i used see moss highlights 7 times on a monday. there r more shows

  • @mpj32587 are your retarded he played on pats are you saying tom brady isnt a good qb? right now i think pats are better without moss

  • @sharkgorilla45 Im retarded? wow good one u come up with that all by urself? ur just like every other dumbfuck on youtube

  • @mpj32587 um how because i know more about football than you? Moss is better then Rice the reason people say you got mossed on because Rice wasnt around to play in this era if Rice did you got mossed on wouldnt happen

  • @sharkgorilla45 What makes you think you know more about football than me? you don't know me! again proving my point that ur just an ignorant douschbag shut the fuck up. If you really think you know more about football than me prove it dipshit.

  • @mpj32587 you're making a ignorant statement by saying Moss is better then Rice. Rice has way better stats

  • @sharkgorilla45 what do you care what i think? I like Randy Moss more than Rice so fuck off i could care less about ur opinion, k bye!

  • @sharkgorilla45 Moss played in a more pass-friendly environment and under-performed compared to Rice. If you asked Moss he would likely say Rice was better, just as Chris Carter did.

  • The absolute G.O.A.T of the NFL Period! No ones stats can touch him. Could play an extra 5 games per season and still no one could touch or catch him.

  • who doesnt like this vid

  • Please Jerry Rice is the best reciever ever.....he is the epitome of the word ATHLETE AND ROLE MODEL.....Hes the reason I grew up a 49ers fan............Still a die hard Bears fan...But the 49ers are very dear to me.

  • Awesome Jerry rice Awesome Joe Montana what do you expect

  • guess why thre is so many highlights

  • Jerry Rice was considered a "big(180lbs.)" wide receiver during his era. Today, a receiver has to be sized(240lbs) like T.O or Calvin Johnson to be considered a "big" receiver.

  • @zzap999 Rice weighed in at 200 every game I ever saw him play in when they flashed his picture/statistics. I do get that that still isn't as big as some WR like the two you mentioned though. That being said, Rice could take a hit/hit as good as anyone. A good example is the play that starts 1:35 . The hit Rice takes on comes from Steve Atwater. Any WR now or past that takes that hit and stays on his feet demonstrates more running power and balance than most RB's in the league.

  • greatest football player to ever live

  • A kid on my football team his father is jerry rice hes a beast his name is Brenden Rice

  • @49erLegends Rice was far and away the greatest wideout ever to play the game

  • he saw the NFL as a privilege, and worked his ass off every day to be where he stands now - that's what I really respect about Jerry. the GOAT

  • The dude @ 0:54 thought it was flag football!!

  • Rice ran his routes harder and better than anyone else, he made pro defenses look like they were college defenses. Montana and Young didn't help Rice as much as he helped them, I mean how hard is it to throw to someone that open.

  • @atllasv1 I get what you are saying. There is a reason why Rice's stats stay relatively even w/ any qb. It is simply easy to hit someone that open. I wish some of the younger kids watching football today could realize how being able to get open is much easier and less risky to the team. Sure it looks cool to see a WR jump and reach over a defender to make a one handed catch, but how many incomplete passes are needed for each completion. Much better to make a sure pass.

  • The great ones always make it look easy.

  • 2:10

  • @ 2:10 SAD

  • One of my favorite Rice plays ever is the play that starts 1:36 . Steve Atwater hits him, and he keeps his feet. That is #9 most feared tackler of all time Steve Atwater on the nfl's top 10. Rice keeps his feet, shows his heart, and really shows how complete a player he is in this super bowl play. The Nigerian Nightmare couldn't withstand Atwater, but Rice was sure ready to take this hit.

  • OVER-RATED!!!!! ANYONE THAT PLAYS WITH STEVE YOUNG AND JOE MONTANA IS GOING TO PUT UP MONSTER NUMBERS....NO TALENT AT ALL!!!! HE WAS PRETTY GOOD AT EVERYTHING BUT HE WASNT SPECIAL LIKE RANDY MOSS, CALVIN JOHNSON, AND ANDRE JOHNSON......

  • @j88salinas No, Jerry Rice was underappreciated. Not only are his numbers beyond what any WR could produce, but you don't know that he was also considered the best blocking WR of all-time. True, he didn't have as talent or speed as Moss, but what sets Rice above all others is his work-ethic, especially preparation. He perhaps was the hardest training NFL player there ever was, thats why it almost looked easy for him. Even TO said he learned everything from Rice in respects to training.

  • @j88salinas Every WR you mentioned plays in a league where modern rules favor the passing game. In the 80's the average qb had 2.7 seconds in the pocket (according to '94 opening monday night football game, I believe Frank Gifford says it). Also defenders could hold and contact WR a lot more. Give any WR you just named any of the QB's Rice had in the '80's era of football Rice>all. Notice in the mid 90's is when Rice gets 100 catch years. That was because of the rule change.

  • @j88salinas you were not even old enough to watch your boy Moss play in his rookie season lol diaper boy.

  • I understand Rice is probly the better receiver, but when watching this, Moss's Highlights are way more impressive: I guess whatever gets the job done

  • @iBuildWithBlocks Had to see Rice play in full games to fully appreciate how special a player he was. Keep in mind as you watch Rice clips that most of them are mostly from big games and some from the same game. 2 of the TD's they show'd in that were from the same super bowl. One other is a crossing route he ran in the game winning drive of the super bowl against the Bengals to convert a long first down. Also, notice the space in the plays. Rice doesn't "Moss" people because he "burned" them.

  • Is this a quarter back highlight? lol just kidding but whatever nice upload I guess, he had the best footwork

  • The later half of the video seems to emphasize the pass more than the player, but I guess him getting into those situations where he had no one on him makes him one of the best WR in NFL history.

  • Hes not the best wide rciever hes the best player the nfl has ever had

  • all i could think was... look at those passes!

  • Steve young was better than Montana.

  • EVERY REASON WHY PEOPLE COME HERE TO ARGUE!!!!!!!

  • best reciever to ever play the game hands down. what im surprised is, is that nobody in the modern era has came close to him. like, someone who argues "is he better then jerry rice??" i mean with basketball jordans best of all time and u got kobe and lebron and all that shit to compare to. there are some amazing recievers now a'days but nothing like rice. makes me think there will never be anyone close.

  • omfg my lil bro is going to meet this dude tommorow at my bros football camp o.O

  • The man had slave feet

  • those guys at 2:17 must be the two greatest and brightest defenders in nfl history..

  • Rice did a great job making Young and Montana look good over the years eh?

  • i think i like the song better than the highlights

  • the 1 dislike is the guy who got juked out of his shoes at 0:41

  • @finsfan29 No he probably just feels that Moss is better than Rice, Cuz Moss was better, Rice just worked harder and didnt have an attitude problem

  • This man was a true beast, he had 1700 and 1800 yeard in one season 2 different times. Randy moss is not and i repeat is not as good as Rice

  • Great highlights; after the f-bomb I just muted the sound...didn't miss a thing!

  • There is another number 80 rising up like this man right here :)

  • Jerry Rice is like Brett Favre in that he owns every significant record at his position, unlike him Jerry was good after 15 seasons and probably could still go to the pro bowl after 6 years away from the game.

  • Phenomenal athlete-Phenomenal career-always "team first" great blocker as well: too bad they had to use music with profanity as a back up.

  • That waz a good catch at 2:13 truly amazing

  • Old Breed - Jerry Rice

    New Breed - Randy Moss

Different types of receivers, both amazing.

  • @SynysterBeast24 difference is one of those players has 3 rings =]

  • @CLOC602PHX 49ers were significantly better than the Vikings, Raiders, and Patriots.

  • @SynysterBeast24 jerry rice is still better than moss

  • one of the best 2 players to ever step foot on a football field.. jerry rice and joe montana.

  • 0:41 as Chris Berman would say...WOP!

  • watch the DBs at 2:13 lol

  • this video deserves more than 11k views. it is truly inspiring. great song selection as well

  • how good is his towel on his butt at 0:50? dang...

  • 2:12 those dudes are heated! XD haha

  • You can compare Andre Johnson with this man, i mean, we all know rice is better

  • all i can say is rice played the game at a very high level for a very long time. he is the greatest at what he did if you ask me. he played 19 years and NEVER took a play off say that to your self over and over cause its the truth the most underrated atturbite in not just football but life is bieng consistant. showing up EVERY day and doing the best you can. greatness to me is not how your faster or stronger but how you use what you got. rice had less than a lot of wr's but got more than anyone

  • Whats the song called?

  • @TheBilbo91 Remember the name - Fort Minor

  • @49erLegends Thanks (;

  • Why do people come here to argue? And guys, if you don't enjoy watching Rice, then why did you even click on the video?! Go watch Deion, just stop acting like bitches and arguing over youtube.

  • to be honest guys hes not the best look at randymoss he can catch anything and pressure does not affect him and desean jackson a monster at catching and fastest in the nfl and has the best speed there both amazing watch them and you will shit your pants

  • @AllHDGaming Then why are you watching this video? Go watch Barry Sanders if you dont enjoy Rice.

  • @49erLegends barry sanders is a better football player than rice.

  • @49erLegends wow .. dont be dissin sanders there both amazing football players no matter what way you look at it.

  • Rice beats Sanders hands down, unless talkin trash counts. Rice talked with his hands.

  • @LuckyLukeHogan Haha! Good point!

  • @LuckyLukeHogan Jerry Rice had hall of fame QB's throwing to him, sure he could get seperation from the defender but the ball will always be there. Barry Sanders had the worst O-Line in the league and had to run for his life for a couple of yards. Barry WAS the Lions, Jerry Rice was just an attribute to the 49ers.
