would you get more power with a 3s lipo in this or adding another nimh in series?

are you meaning speed? if you wire 3 nimh in series with the extra pinion gear you can hit 50mph, if you leave the stock gearing and wire the 2 in parallel you can get longer runtime (at 30mph). but if you get the 3c lipos and wire them in parallel with the 23tooth pinion gear i believe you get a longer runtime and 50mph.. look at the traxxas website under the 1/16 e-revo batteries (both 1/16 versions have the same chassis, battery packs, etc so I'm thinking you can do the lipo thing with both)

@OrangePHX The truck goes nuts, and is harder to control due to overkill on ower input. Id just leave it with the 380 sized vxl it has stock, and setup the suspension so it handles even better and then leave it be. Its fast enough and very tough. To me it is a great truck, and I run mine alot. Id recommend it over alot of othr minis out there.

definitely a worth while rc mine went through about a years worth of daily bashing in everything from mud to snow. the transmission was the only thing to break which would have been an easy fix but i have other plans for the electronics possibly a waterproof mini crawler.
