Metallica was the leader of the thrash revolution, they became the biggest, and at the end of the day, more people recognize the name than any of the other big four. Not saying that Metallica is better than any of the other big four even though they are my favorite, I'm just answering your question. Though Metallica has kinda aged poorly over the years
