i have been bedridden for three years, cannot walk or even bathe myself, i'm only 32, i lost my house my job, even my husband. i cannot sleep on my own have to take pills everynight, can't go anywhere, have to be on a stretcher in ambulance when i go to the doctor, i have no resemblance of a normal life, have to stay in the house in perfect temperature , i can't get hot or cold have no natural temperature balance. i have taken silver, natural cures as well as antibiotics. i have seen 30 doctors
Unless it's something obvious like a broken arm, the very best thing you can do is run from a doctor, as fast as you can. The only time you should run faster is when you're about to be raped or turned into soup by the greys.
I am 15 and struggle with late stage chronic lyme disease. I created a social network for teens with lyme so they could connect and give support. Hope to see you there! lymeteens.socialgo.com
yes- i had 3 months of doxi- and I'm fine now- the 3 months were hard because the doxi made me vomit 2x a day- but i took every pill anyway- and it worked :)
I was bitten over the weekend- and got a red mark that turned into a bullseye- i went to the dr yesterday and am taking doxicycline. Ive been bitten many times- but this time i had a headache for 3 days after and body aches. Hopefully waiting 4 days won't be too damaging..
Four days....you'll be ok. I went 20 years with no treatment. I wish to hell I knew this movie was being made. Man....do I have a LOT to say about Lyme Disease. Mr./Ms. Producer, please get a hold of me. I can shed a whole different twist on this drama. I've had it 22 years now. I'm practiacally a blithering idiot. That's just my brain. I won't even get into my Pain level. What a freakin joke.
i was bit con. 2 days ago, lucky me, i don't have lyme. i got it out before it got far, and i got the whole thing out. i wish people with lyme to live a full happy life. may god bless you and be with you all.

I'm in tears...I have had Lyme Disease, was on antibiotics for 3 years and considered cured. Now 12 years later I find I have peripheral neuropathy probably as a result of the disease. Thank you so much for focusing on this devastating illness. I hope that somewhere in the making you consulted Dr. William Harvey, a leading researcher of Lyme Disease, and the doc who finally diagnosed me.
I was bit in 1992, then twice in 1996, and now get to stay home 24-7, becouse I cant do anything without collasping. Were alone out here, and can, hope anybody will hear us.I eat a bulb of "Raw-Garlic a day.Only thing that helped Texas Dar
Thank you so much for bringing this information to people's attention. The common mistake that ordinary Drs make is to say "Lyme Disease is very rare" so they assume no one has it. My GP said it was rare or only occurs in the New Forest part of the UK (so he refused to test me). My cousin (another Dr) said it was very rare in Pakistan where I was bitten. I said if no one tests for it then of course the numbers of confirmed cases will be very low!

Does one only get lyme disease from tick bites or is it contracted other ways too? I was getting exited about summer, but now I'm nervous.

How are you now? This sounds like a case that should have been handled with a minimum of THREE MONTHS of treatmenht. Did you get lucky?
