drugs afect each person differently. look at jim morrison (lead singer of The Doors), i think he passed more time on drugs than sober, and he was still extremely intelectual and making great music. but yeah, if it's affecting you negatively, then it's probably better to stop.

@JoaoPalmaROKE JM was primarily using psychedelic drugs aside from the regular weed smoking, at least during their early days, which I think was beneficial for his lyrics. He started drinking heavily around 68 during the recording of The Soft Parade which apparently took forever to make because of that. Of course, LA Woman wouldn't have been the same without Jims whiskey voice.

@PavHull FIOE could have been better but it had alot of filler; juicebox, ask me anything, 15 minutes and a couple of others.

the problem was it had too mny ideas all at once and therefore flow well from song to song like the other 2 did. plus the band opted fro more complex arpegios over chords and faster solos, which really isnt their strengths, more of rythme based band.

though im not saying they shouldnt have evolved but I was just personally not that happy with the album
