Right now, the only spell worth boosting up with your amplifiers is the "goo" spell (ectoplasm), the other spells like Invoke and Dispell are really useless.

To be honest, Ectoplasm will also get useless later on when you'll get beter guns and spells but it's worth amplyfing for now.

before helloween bonks up all his amplifiers on the crap spells please vote this up:

amplifiers boost the currently selected spell permanently, better save one or two amplifiers for the later spells. arcane whorls boost your mana regeneration. and there are also two more items that boost your maximum hp or mana, i forgot the names though. also, amplifiers emit an eerie sound when you are close to them and some of them are pretty well hidden.

@killthemall555 -- This game is probably 10 years old. No one is shelling out cash to get a good review. It has a neat storyline as the game progresses, it's relatively difficult, neat graphics for it's time, but it's decidedly old and has issues that were relevant during those days. Definitely not a game that holds your hand, though.
