i hate how they completely changed her beam routine. she was able to do the routine with a bad wrist infection because she mostly did aerials on the beam. the only time she put pressure on that wrist was during her round-off into her dismount.

I really liked the movie, some years ago my uncle talked about Nadia and he said that she was (is) a girl that made history in the Olimpic Games, she's (was) a gymnast and somethings like that... Today, I watched the video of PERFECT 10... and began to read her biography... and had the chance to watch this excellent movie... 1 of my favorites from now on!

Nadia was my hero growing up and I still think Bela is probably the greatest coach there ever was or possibly ever will be. The film is about teaching as much as it is gymnastics. Bela had to learn how to teach Nadia and she had to learn to be independent. And both grew because of the other. I think Nadia was the greatest gymnast ever. But much of that is owed to Bela and Marta's brilliance as teachers. The quality of talent he has produced since Nadia is staggering, and shows his ability.

yeah this beam routine is a lot different than her original one. in the original one her aerials mostly consisted of back tucks & the likes so she didnt have to use her wrist that much. but still pretty impressive for competing on an infected wrist!!

@BondGirl29 Read Nadia's autobiography written in 1982. She was upset over a boyfriend but she didn't really attempt suicide. She mixed the bleach cup that looked like the coffee mug and drank out ot the wrong cup. She vomited it up actually. She drank milk induce the vomiting. No ambulance ever came to get her as in this film. She did burn her mouth from it of course.

This is disappointing. I had almost completely forgotten about this movie but recently remembered it when a reference was made to Nadia in the Olympics. I used to think this was a great movie to be taken seriously as a little girl. It was soooo good and inspiring in my eyes and now it seems so corny. I can't believe it.
