Excellent information package on data curation - if he sounds like a librarian, then you understand what today's librarian / i-professional skills are all about. But he's 'just' a passionate geek - as are half the librarians running around on-line these days.
This is a wonderful interview. I am just learning about content curation and will share this with our audience of marketing business leaders. Many thanks, Mr. Rheingold. (Now I have to go research Flipboard, Paper.ly and Listoria[?])...
I just transcribed the last part of the wonderful interview beetween +Howard Rheingold and +Robert Scoble (15:51 - 26:49) on his approach to content curation - with very good practical tipps for building a following and posted it on google plus:
Phenomenal interview!! This video totally needs more views. :) I've always admired Scoble, and I have the greatest respect for how he manages to curate the best quality content with such velocity and volume.
I find Scoble pretty authentic. And he's also big on Pattern Recognition, which is sort of how I grew up (so I can relate).
Niching your commentary and focus is also pretty rockin'. Well done, Howard. And kudos to you for instigating Robert's voice, and allowing him to voice. Too may interviewers become the voice, blocking the flow. Well done.

Awesome video, the self-curation for twitter/twitter list and using tools to magnify your innate skill were especially helpful. I took a lot of notes!
Thank You
