@monstar34 Yes he is destroyed in the very beginning of the first film...when they show the Last Alliance. Sauron was not totally killed of though due to rings survival. So after a few thousand years he was able to manifest himself as the eye on top of barad dur.

Mad Max 2 in my opinion was a far superior film. Don't get me wrong Mad Max the original was excellent. There was just something about the second one that has always stuck in my mind. Probably the lonesomeness of the character as apposed to the first.
