  • Does anyone know the piece of music used in this video?

  • Como vamos, en no mucho tiempo nosotros seremos los extintos...

  • Aw... it was pretty cute...

  • PWND

  • May this be missed

  • One possible contributing factor to their extinction was the fact they could make short work of a farmers sheep. One of the New Zealand/Aussie? museums has thylacine embryos preserved in alcohol, which could lead to possible cloning if anyone had enough money and interest. Thank goodness it wasn't formalin or some other nasty chemical.

  • That animal look stressed. how sad that pretty innocent animals have to die by the hands of humans

  • This animal is so beautiful...

Fucking humans did it again =(

  • terribly sad to see something living not knowing its the last of its kind.

  • good video, human being have everything to do with this animals demise, we should reverse that mistake and reinstate it through cloning if we can.

  • there r still sightings of this creature soon it might be redisoverd it may still be out there and the oppouse to be extinct long tailed hoping mouse is still alive over here in puerto rico i have one as a pet so earth to scitest every extinct animal could still be out there even the saber tooth tiger 0_0 oh shiz

  • funy looking thing let remake1 whit genenic engineering

  • Such a beautiful animal. Humans are the worst animals in my opinion.

  • fake

  • @MabbastaVoodooTek can't tell if trolling or just really stupid...

  • The Australians and their ancestors brits not only exterminated the Thylacine. They also committed genocide against the Tasmanian Aboriginal People. The most perfect crime against humanity ever committed, 100% extermination. There are many black legends of Spaniards murdering indians, of USA whites genociding other indians, Nazis killing Jews, Jews killing Palestinians. But, 100% crime perfection. only the Brit-Australians, perfect in its thoroughness, perfect in that is forgotten and unknown.

  • @powerdriller10 Just go to China and see how few animals and birds are left there on a massive landmass. Almost every piece of biological organism has vanished. There's barely a bird in the sky. If you travel to Asia you will see that this problem has nothing to do with race.

  • I came here to see a video of an extinct animal. What I found was an excellent description of human nature and rebuttal to the racism found in comments.

  • There may be islands that are undiscovered that have extinct, and new animals on them.

  • my grandpa has seen one. he saved a dying one

  • They aren't extinct there have been sightings of them

  • Not extinct. Just so unbelievably endangered we'll never see one as long as we live. But they're out there. I know they are.

  • Poor thing! I was gonna cry!

  • WOW, Molinobeer you are right ))

  • fuck. this is so depressing

  • Impressive!

  • This strange but amazing creature continues to fastinate me more and more each day :3

  • Comment removed

  • why would you think people would make racial remearks? You must be racist.

  • what people do :(

  • such a shame, beautiful animal.

  • q triste

  • Awwwwww :"(

  • deep sadness see this.

  • thats what desperate and being trapped looks like...

  • u killers let him live

  • poor little fella, i hate you Gunns and all the inbred bogans that slave for your dirty logging company

  • This creature was a very lonely fellow.

  • Such a beautiful animal. :(

  • honoustly i think humans are a kind of infection on earth. we've thrown the whole system out of whack.

funny enough we're the only creatures that commit pre-meditated murder and suicide(not including cannibalism as that's survival of the fittest among a species). maby that's the nature in us trying to balance the world. but it's not working.

when the majority of humans realise that saving our asses means saving the world first, then the outcome will let us know just what we really are.

  • sad..... what we did to nature,

  • whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

  • Its not extinct, i have seen some, but who is gonna believe me? folks wait until a catch one, im working on it now and i will the biggest news,

  • @genesisjkc Just go to Liquer store, buy Vodka and dream how you are smart.

  • @genesisjkc

Actually, the description is about the animal. As for the last part, do you really want there was an essay in a description box of a youtube video (with "links to relevant anthropological studies by real authorities on the subject") just to justify asking an end to the racist comments? ...don't be an jerk and try to understanding the context of what was said.

Anyway, thanks for watching and for the ranting comment to. ;)

  • @genesisjkc Don't like the description? DON'T READ IT. If you came here for the video, why bitch about the description?

  • @genesisjkc The description is right and is not just an opinion. The history show that the human activity is responcible of instinction of animals, if you concider that the dominant civilisation does the most activity then it explain the comment. Don’t take the word "race" as black or white people but as "a civilisation".

  • @genesisjkc dude, that guy owned you ass..!! hahaha

  • So sad. Humans are the worst kind of animals!

  • that's so sad i feel kinda bad now cuz the human race destroyed such a beautiful creature and is still destroying the world and the animals that live on it

  • Whwere the hell di ya get this??

  • Its animal who called chupakabra now. no?

  • Africa lack of natural resources?! A-hem!

  • What's the music called?

  • YEAH!! plz reproduce mr/ms tiger ur so adorable

  • Of all beast's,man is the biggest beast.

  • Stupid humans.. omg..

  • Why would anyone make racial comments on a video featuring old footage of an extinct marsupial? Seriously? How horrible of a person do you have to be to think a glimpse at an extinct animal has anything to do with any kind of human issue? Mind-boggling. Anyway, thanks for sharing this precious footage of an animal lost to the world. As we lose more and more species, this kind of documentation becomes increasingly important.

  • @paleoarchs Because it was killed to extinction by 'white' people and youtube is full of racist retards even though humans all over the world cause heaps of extinctions especially when first arriving in an area. This also occurs with animals that arn't human, humans are just more capable of hunting, competition and habitat destruction in most cases.

  • It's too bad people like to kill everything. And about the racism remark, no one cares anymore, so people quit whining when you see bad offensive words. because YOU should realize that the people that write them are misguided and you are a panzy for letting words hurt your feelings. PEACE!

  • I cry every time I watch this video because im from Australia and this is where the Tasmanian Tiger was I and didn't get to see this animal and so did a lot of other people.I feel kinda a shamed to be an Australian

  • I really want to see one, not video but the real one

  • Comment removed

  • Absolutely tragic that we lost one our greatest native animals ... my Great Grandfather was from Tazzy, I have often wondered if they saw these blokes in the bush there before it all went pear shaped.

  • there is no possible way to totally prove something is extinct, unless you have enough ppl walking in a line to cover the entire island of Tasmania, which no one is going to bother to do, the only way they will prove its extinct is to log the entire island, stop the logging and let the land reveal its secrets given enough time any left over Tassie Tigers will breed and re-populate! and to the person saying it looks like a dog, yes it does but it is more related to a Kangaroo then a canine!

  • They are not extinct.

  • 15 person like eat this animal...

  • I wonder if we have enough of the bones and hides remaining, in museums and private collections, that there is hope someday of cloning them back into existence. It would take a lot of different individuals to create enough genetic diversity, but....well, if we can clone a cat, a dog and a sheep, why the hell not try?

  • @bacchante1 Unfortunately, cloning a mammal still requires a female and her womb in which to develop the embryo/fetus. We still have some scientific progress to do before we reach Jurassic Park-level skills. :o) Also, bones and hides usually do not contain living cells, which are required. Cloning needs DNA, which can only be found in living cells.

  • @tbear413 @tbear413 Despite Dolly, I'm aware that we don't know enough...yet. ^_^ I meant more the bones/hides in collections that have not been cleaned and bleached, kept in a stable environment. DNA can exist in bone marrow and hair follicles for a long time (hence, Tighar's search for Earhart DNA.) You're right, it may all be degraded to uselessness. But beginning now to look for potential (albeit unlikely) DNA to preserve ~before~ we reach that skill level, could be a first step.

  • @tbear413 To clarify, if we want to ever consider re-introducing extinct species, we need to begin early the processes of searching for sufficient DNA to support a population, and finding a similar enough host 'mother'. (Never mind the years of consulting with ecologists, and legislation governing the funding and ethics...just dropping a herd of woolly mammoth into Alaska wouldn't fly with many people. ALL this would need addressing; so I say start now, before we DO have the skills.)

  • I've seen a live one while hunting, they exist.

  • Tssk.. He Looks Awful... Why Did those hunters cage him like that?.. I f Were them.. I'll Set Him.. Free!

  • thumbs up if The Hunter brought you here

  • @AxisDSTC What's with the fucking "thumbs up if bla bla brought you here" ??? shut the fuck up you stupid whores. i came here by myself not some random faggot!

  • @Naafalilargus calm down. "The Hunter" is a recently released movie about the Tasmanian Tiger (in large part), starring William DeVoe. Not sure if it will be available outside of Australia anytime soon.

  • ziurejau si filma patiko...:)the hunter....:)

  • @AxisDSTC nope the "Snake Artist." Who is this "Hunter" you refer to? The title is way too broad of a term to positvely identify based on a name search. Did you mean the Croc Hunter?

  • my friends mum saw one 20 years ago

  • And ofcourse Human capture the last one (kills it) what ever, disgusting...

  • @maxlarsen Where's the harm in capturing the last one?

  • looks like a dog to me

  • what is the saddest psrt of this video, besides the 'extinct' label, is seeing it trying in vain to get out of the enclosure.

  • Is this the footage of Benjamin (the last Tasmanian Tiger presumed alive)?

  • It is so sad how humans just have to go hunting and killing animals FOR FUN!!!! I wonder how would they feel if they were fucking attacked and they burned down our homes and all the shit we do to animals.... I wish one day... Just one day humans can actually stop hunting animals in the wild. Cows i guess im fine with and pigs but they would have to have a baby first so the animals can keep growing....

  • clone that mutha fuka

  • LET THE BAME THING GO good bame did we kill a lot and we still are you can say "ow well were the super animal " YES WE ARE ANIMAL'Z THE WORST KIND but we cant help what we are we can try and save a few but we cut down a lot we throw a lot we kill a lot and barely eat what we kill but i guess i like it that way O_O" admight it you like were on top but that will end some day

  • amazing!

  • although I agree with most of what you say in the description, no other race on planet earth is like the white race. Africans set sale hundreds if not thousands of years before whitemen and they never tryed to conquer any other peoples, they were welcomed because they brought no harm, only tought other cultures new things and intergrated their own with the combining nation. Everyone who has white skin is not automatically evil from birth, but is far more likely to be cruel upon what god has gave

  • @KingLionsHeart

It's accepted that all whites descend from a group of people that came out of Africa. Then, each part of the group evolved in a separate environment which produced the physical differences we can identify in naked eye. All this to say, that I can't think of a logical reason that could cause the natural selection path to turn a certain group "more likely to be cruel upon what god has gave"(god in a metaphoric sense I guess) than other??

    Thanks for your comment :)

  • @molinobeer

"It's accepted that all whites descend from a group of people that came out of Africa."

No its, its not actually, thats extremely outdated archeological findings that show the oldest perserved human being found was in Africa.

Since then they have found indo-europeans older then that African body, in Tarim Basin, China, that are even older, many frozen and well perserved.

Also pyramids in Bosnia, Europe, older then the ones in Egypt.

And on and on, nice Marxism though

  • @CelticAngloPress

Do you understand what is a species? None of that "older" human species exist anymore.

It's possible that the modern human species has RESIDUAL DNA of those species (like the Neanderthals) but it's widely accepted that Homo Sapiens Sapiens' origin is in Africa (no matter you want it or not), and I didn't said Homo Sapiens Sapiens' origin are black people (we don't even know if they had that much melanin back then *joke*).

    "Marxism"?? You are an idiot.

  • @molinobeer wow, and it evolved so fast? people needed million years to evolve and this dog evolved in 100 years? wtf?

  • @molinobeer I agree 100%

  • @molinobeer Good video but you are way off thinking white people descend from africa that is like saying earth as the only life in the universe. You like many scientist have a very narrow vision on history or science for that matter everything you say along with those qwacks are only theory's nothing more. You can state your theory or opinion but don't try to inforce something so none conclusive.

  • @peaks888

    Another idiotic genius!

Being the "currently accepted theory" means it might be wrong (it's a theory) but excluding all the religious believes, interests, stereotypes it's the conclusion that years of science came to.

Before an investigator (from math to archeology) publishes a theory it needs to pass by many people that couldn't disprove it (that's called peer review).

Anyway, the scientific world welcomes you to explain all the stuff scientists are getting wrong...

  • @molinobeer The only idiotic geniuses are people like you and scientists that believe and are convinced that what they propose in theory to be true and can't be argued against.Like I care what a bunch of egotistical scientist claim or the few""peers"" half to say. It's those very peers that control what should and should not be told.Another group of narrow minded people.Saying the human species comes from Africa without proof is like saying all fish in the worlds seas comes from lake Ontario.

  • @peaks888

Scientists actually want people to "argue against the theories they propose".

You're the one who have no proofs for what you say.

Evidence for dummies at h t t p://humanorigins(dot)si(dot)edu/evidence with pictures and everything. Have fun

  • @molinobeer What have I said? I haven't made any claims on where the human species comes from.If you can't have a conversation without insulting people when you are stuck then don't comment..

  • @peaks888

    Wrong person.

And what are you even on about?...

    Perhaps present some yourself.

  • @CelticAngloPress Wrong person wrong video sorry. And you are from the u.k don't be so cocky you have nothing to be cocky about..

  • @peaks888

    You are crazy or what?

You said "The only idiotic geniuses are people like you and scientists that believe and are convinced that what they propose in theory to be true and can't be argued against.(...) Saying the human species comes from Africa without proof is like saying all fish in the worlds seas comes from lake Ontario."

  • @molinobeer That was a example of how stupid your theory sounds I was not claiming that to be fact or true are you not smart enough to see that?

  • @peaks888

    "My theory"? It's not mine.

    Stop playing with words.

  • @molinobeer Playing with words? Ok i'm not one to try and inforce theory's on people so you believe what it is you want to believe that is just fine by me..

  • @molinobeer

Sorry but the oldest human remains where found in China not Africa.

Your theory on human evolution is one of political correct dogma, and outdated.

Thus your "No matter you want it or no"...translation "I've got a narrative, a marxist politically correct liberal narrative, and I'm sticking to it no matter what'.

Well you live in your fantasy world, opiate of them masses indeed.

But your desperate propaganda is showing, as no one brought up the Neanderthals, you did.

  • @CelticAngloPress

    1ºit's not my theory, it's the scientific-world-nowaday-accepted theory;

2ºthe oldest ever found human remains out of Africa were found in Israel, and are a set of teeth (only, no bones) believed to be from some sort of necklace brought from Africa.

3ºI'm not loosing more of my time with you, just keep your comments civilized and you will be able to continue posting your politically-influenced-evolutionary ideology (you keep bringing up politics constantly).

  • @molinobeer

    @molinobeer

    "scientific-world-nowaday-accepted theory"

Oh wow, thats some insight...telling indeed, also, completely false.

Also the oldest remains are from the Tarim Basin in China, and not in Africa.

"2ºthe oldest ever found human remains out of Africa were found in Israel"

When did Israel become part of Africa...guessing you'are a Jew...would just about explain alot.

And you threw civilized out the window after "idiot".

    Try again, kike.

  • @CelticAngloPress No sense in argueing with someone who is nieve. When they are stuck on a subject they turn to insulting in order to save face..

  • @CelticAngloPress wtf China, kill yourself,

  • @molinobeer yea he/she isnt very perseptive of the subject but another thing i would like to ask is why do humans think its their world why do we think that we can take anything we want and the animals shouldnt do shit they should just die and leave their homes. i mean i dont get it , along with killing animals i mean why is it okay to kill an animal and not a person i dont understand i mean how is it making you skillful to kill a baby tiger or something. people confuse me?

  • @fallinginreverse10

My reasoning leads me to think that it might not be just humans to think that way, the problem is that we have much more efficacy in our actions. Per example a lion pride will defend their offspring and if a cub is killed the mother gets sad and will wander around it for some hours and try to make move. That can be interpreted as proof they understand death and feel sad about it (or causes them suffering), but, they have no prob in killing a baby gazelle.

  • @fallinginreverse10

However the lioness shock isn't comparable to the shock a (normal) human mother feels about the death of their child (because the lioness' biology forces them not to be that way, they need to detach from the dead cub the to be able to raise another one as soon has possible), that's probably why we humans might have the ability to feel sad about the death of people we don't know or even animals of other species just like you felt when you wrote the comment.

  • @MrThewaffen wow kill yourself, most stupid comment

  • @molinobeer no resent evidence say we arent from africa, but from india.

  • @KingLionsHeart

I love how you type your Afrocentric bullshit while using white invention, fucking lol

Shut the fuck up with your thinly veiled nonsense, Africans didn't set sail before anyone and Europeans colonized you because you where conquered by the Arabs and helped them try to conquer Europe

Law of the jungle, you lost, get over it, no one in the world feels anything for you, you where the biggest slavers in the world, sold your own as well

    North Africa is still Arab

  • @CelticAngloPress I'm sorry but did I mention my race? I am an Irish man, born and raised in Canadian Babylon. I have grown up in the number 1 most multi-cultural area of land known to man. Little history lesson for you. The Irish where enslaved for 600+ years by the English, White slaves were around a lot longer then african slaves. The irish were also treated a lot worse, and were a lot cheaper for a fat white man to purchase. I'm sorry, but when one does not know truth, please do not talk.

  • @KingLionsHeart And this is not ancient history, the Irish were in america side by side with africans. I may have white skin, but that does not matter. We are all equal on this planet, regardless of who wants to conquer and control the planet. Africans did set sale time before the whites out of europe. The african tribes who we're native to what you call Australia, they've been there for around 90,000 years. Africans also came to America before the white man, but Mr.WhiteMan won't teach you this

  • @KingLionsHeart So please keep your ignorance to yourself. I know it may be hard for you to fathem, but humanity is African, even if not Black. So all this trying to talk down Mama Afrika, your just showing self hatred towards the race of mankind throughout all time. Little good that does for you huh? why not try to share some love instead of hate. People like you are not helping our world evolve into a respectable place, not full of mases of morons like yourself who believe what they are told

  • @KingLionsHeart Law of the Jungle? Did it ever acre to you that maybe others didn't want to set our upon your world and murder, rape, enslave, prophet of our precious lands, commit unbelievable acts upon not only man but nature itself. No, Africans sailed to Europe and America not thinking to conquer or control or anything evil in mind. They intergrated with other races and adopted different ways. Shared knowledge, cultures, religions, I mean with such a big mouth, your brain most not be too big

  • @KingLionsHeart That is sadly not true in any way!!!!

    Each race is ruthless.

Ofc white people have had wars, so have asians, the first Empire of China, Attila the Hun and so on and even africans, ancient Egypt, slaves was working on the pyramids, and you know how you get slaves?

The same for the inca indians that sacrificed people and had slaves..

If you still don't want to believe me!?

All I have to say is that the "nice" black race showed what they where made of in Rwanda killing 800 000!!!

  • @KingLionsHeart shut up, how the fuck skin color can change anything in the way we think and act, automatically evil...hahahaahah what a fucking morron you are

  • @KingLionsHeart OH ok sorry you are the type of morron who still believe in Jesus a fictif guy who never even exist

  • @L3galHustl3

Then again on second thought, your African American.

Think the narrative their is somewhere down the lines of....."Muh Dick"....nevermind...

Perhaps we'd get somewhere if we showed you a picture of Detroit when it was majority white (biggest industrial power house in the western world) to when it became majority Black (No industry...it resembles south african ghettos and much of Brazillian favelas.

This is consistant in every nation blacks settle in, even JAPAN.

  • Some scientists are trying to bring back the Tasmanian Tigers, Wooly Mammoths, Dodo birds, and some sort of horse that looks like a mix between a brown zebra and a brown horse.

    I hope it works...

  • @awesometown1000 They tried that on jurassic park it didn't end well...

  • @mcjickle Hopefully they won't get a fat guy with a fake shaving cream bottle to work for them...

  • @awesometown1000 haha!

  • maybe this species not extinct....guess wat?

  • Wooooooow its alive, awesome really!

  • ;(

  • so sad, hope the myth is true and they are still alive

  • @crimmoss44 martin david killed the last one

  • Comment removed

  • I hate hunters... and ranchers. They are the reason this animal is no longer living.

  • Que animal lindo ! Infelizmente não existe mais =/

  • hey raymond i found footage of a Thylacine they are rare very rare and they went extint over 6 years ago i think...... yet they are buitiful creatures even there colors oops i say to much.... see ya!!!!!

  • so sad what happened to such a beautiful creature.

  • Is extint.

  • let that poor animal run free, idiots!

  • @MysticMama926 they were trying to find a mate for it, to increase it's chances of survival because they knew it may have been the very last one

  • Humans are more animals than animal!

  • The tiger has always been my favorite animal and I know many are against it but can we not try to clone this magnificent animal to help bring them back?

  • It wasnt blacks or whites! It was humans you racist!!

  • this is so sad

  • We're fucking monsters.

  • Biedny :(

  • It wants out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • how could we humans "accidentilly" harm these pretty animals?nd then help them

  • then - tasmanian tiger, now - Chupacabra

  • Oh god that made me tear up and not much manages to do it...People dream of unicorns, I dream of the return of the extinct animals and a stop to the ongoing extinction of amphibians etc :(

  • beautiful.. ;(

  • I just wish i could have seen one and maybe one day my kids !!!!!!

Its a shame they were hunted to exticntion, but you get that when mankind doesnt care for the impact we have in our selfish ways, '' GREED '' is the root of all evil.

  • Люди это болезнь!!!Жаль такой вид погубили

  • Thanks for the vid, but your comments are hilarious, ridiculous and NOT historically accurate. But other than that, you've done a service by showing this animal.

  • @Nonpeon

You are welcome to give us all the historically correct version. Thanks

  • @molinobeer

List: African pre-European sophisticated societies: a) ancient Egypt - they called KEMIT, b) Harappin society of India, c) Canaanites - who were massacred by the Hyksos (Semitic-peoples expelled from Egypt), d) Cush - modern day Sudan, e) Punt - modern day Somalia, etc. This is only a representation of societies sophisticated enough to give them dominion over animals. Secondly, this was during a time where THEY could not perceive a world dominated by whites; barbarians to them. :-)

  • @Nonpeon

First of all, for the sake of correctness India is not Africa.

Second, you should read again what I said. It's not about how sophisticated they might have been or felt in terms of culture (neither how you feel about it). It's about how their technology might or not be hazardous to the survival of the animals their shared the land with (having calendars, written language, money/organized commerce is not relevant).

  • @molinobeer

Excellent point, and I agree. :-)

  • @Nonpeon

    ;)

  • @molinobeer false that lions went extinct due to lack of technology, elephants and Lions evolved alongside humans so they developed a natural fear of humans, unlike megafauna on every other continent.

  • @davidmoye

Outside of Africa predators were present before humans came in, so, animals were obviously prepared to deal with predation in terms of having natural fear/suspicion (humans were just another type of predation, more or less dangerous depending on the technology used). That type of inability to survive predators (due to lack of fear) it's present only where during an (evolutionarily relevant) time no natural predators existed.Few examples of that exist, and are mostly islands.
