  • wow great! Can you make macademia nut milk too, with the hurom juicer?? :D

  • @tiatdivad yes, taking the skins off is absolutely optional.

  • @tiatdivad Not sure how to make rice milk. I would probably sprout/germinate the rice, and then run it through the juicer.

  • I want to buy it but is it true that the sieve issues after a while (get broken)?

    Thanks

  • @1mashoman I have not experienced any issues with the sieve. I hope it is not a problematic piece.

  • @NHShealthshow and how often do u use it.... If u use it often and with no issues than i'll buy it....

  • @1mashoman I use it 2-3 x per week. You can always go with a greenstar juicer if you don't feel comfortable with the hurom. they are pricey, but excellent juicers nonetheless.

  • how long do you soak the almonds

  • @tripleggg694 almonds should be soaked in water at least 10-12 hours. then rinse and drain the excess water well before using.

  • @NHShealthshow do i add more water or i dont need to add anymore after i drain the first water

  • @tripleggg694 there is no need to add anymore water. 10-12 hours in water is enough. after that time, strain first water and rinse under new water, and strain/drain again. our intent is to wash the almonds after soaking them 10-12 hours. have fun!

  • I am sitting waiting for delivery of my Hurom juicer...... excited ;-)

Is it really necessary to take the skins off of the nuts ?? wouldnt the machine do that for you, and make the process quicker and a little less hassle ?

  • @MikeCD1965 Awesome! Hope you enjoy the juicer and make some great vegetable juices! No, it is not necessary to take the skins off. I usually do not skin them, but I was experimenting then. Some people prefer to do it because the skins have tannins that may cause gastrointestinal issues in sensitive individuals. Also, tannins can inhibit iron absorption. However, these issues become true problems when consuming large amounts of tannin rich foods, like nuts, teas, and coffee and other foods.
